Adam: Nick?

Caller: Hey, what's up?

Adam: What's happenin'?

Caller: I just wanted to tell you guys that you are, like, so huge. I mean, just today in particular, I've just been hearing you guys left and right. I mean, everything my friend said, everything that I said, it just led to a reference to "Loveline."

Adam: Great.

Caller: And you actually had a reference on a TV show tonight.

[Anderson plays the "Whatever" drop.]

Drew: What show was that? Ed?

Caller: It was a show on WB, so you probably don't care too much.

Drew: What show was that?

Caller: Called "Everwood."

Adam: They made a "Loveline" reference?

Caller: Yeah.

Drew: That's interesting.

Adam: What'd they say?

Caller: Well, the dad was doing a sex ed. assembly, and he said, "I'm not sure who Dr. Drew is, but they said I kicked his ass."

Drew: [Laughs.]

Adam: Wow! That's a Drew reference.

Guest Henry Rollins: You're a popular culture icon now.

Drew: I'm up there with Henry.

Henry: You are now an icon of American popular culture.

Drew: That's very cool.

Henry: You're a folk hero, a Johnny Appleseed.

Drew: [Laughs.]

Adam: That's right.

Drew: Yeah, it's a name that evokes, uh...

Adam: [Laughing.] "Johnny Appleseed"... Paul Bunyan...

Henry: Little do they know that you're doing this broadcast with a condom on your head.

Drew: But you know what's interesting about Nick? This show has suddenly -- like, in the last eight months -- gone through a resurgence of popularity in the thirteen-, fourteen-, fifteen-year-old age group.

Caller: Well, you deserve it.

Drew: Well, thank you, Nick. But, it's good, 'cause the show was originally designed to sorta focus-in on the mid-adolescent age group. Originally. It's changed over the years.

Adam: Drew, how do you know we went through a renaissance?

Drew: Because I can't walk down the hall in my kids' junior high school. And that never happened before, and all of a sudden, boom! It started happening.

Adam: All right. All right.

Drew: And same thing in other cities, and stuff. I just notice that there was just sort of... I don't expect a fourteen-year-old to know who I am, 'cause they weren't around during the MTV years and stuff. And all of sudden, there's this interest in the show.
