How Bizarre Life Is

Adam: I was watching movies of me yesterday at age, like, twenty-two, twenty-one.

Drew: Calling this show?

Adam: Well, it is kinda interesting. We've talked about this before, but... My first apartment I lived in, my roommate, Louise, had a video camera. And this was the old school kind. You had to plug it into the stereo and stuff. You couldn't go very far with it. It had a cord on it that was like, six or eight feet long. So there was never any shots of the apartment, never any shots of the bedroom, or the garage, or the kitchen, or anything -- it was just the living room, where it was plugged in.

Drew: It's like a TV camera.

Adam: Yeah, it was like a TV camera. Right. Couldn't follow you into your dressing room kinda thing. Like the ones on the wheels. And there was shots of me and all my friends at age, like, twenty-two... yeah, see... 1985, 1986... Yeah. There's also a recorded video of a girl over at my house calling up "Loveline" and making a bogus phone call. Drew was not on the show; there was a little leave of absence going on at that time...

Drew: Right.

Adam: ...seventeen years ago.

Drew: Ohhh. Augh!

Adam: I must have been twenty-one then. And she's calling, and making a bogus phone call from my apartment.

Drew: Was it a good bogus phone call?

Adam: She was a chick. Said she was having feelings for her friend. Standard stuff.

Drew: But as usual, of course, there's five guys standing behind her putting her up to it.

Adam: Yeah, that was us. It was us.

Drew: Yeah, yeah. On her own, not in a million years.

Adam: I was watching a tape of me putting this chick up to calling "Loveline" seventeen years ago, last night at this time...

Drew: Isn't that weird?

Adam: ...laughing my ass off, thinking, "How bizarre life is."
