Mayor James K. Hahn of Los Angeles approached Dr. Drew in a restaurant today: "He introduced himself, and said, 'Thank you for your work.' I was shocked. I was blown away."
Dr. Drew reveals a detail about The Dr. Drew and Adam Book: "We wanted to call it... Adam wanted to call that book -- I thought, brilliantly -- Adam is from Mars, Drew is from Pasadena. That would have been a great title." (This was in response to a question from caller Losun of "Crank Yanker" fame.)
Adam was pulled over for "erratic driving" on his way home from the studio last night.
Drew: Hand you a ticket?
Adam: No.
Drew: What'd he say?
Adam: Man Show.
Drew: [Laughs.] Oh my god!
Adam reveals a tidbit about Drew's "Crank Yankers" debut:
Adam: Now, how we got this number, by the way, when we did this "Crank Yanker" call is, I think, we took some calls when we were doing this radio show; people who called and couldn't get through, we told 'em we'd call them back the next day.
Drew: Right. Well, now, quiet now, when we do "Crank Yankers" next year, we're gonna need some more of those.
Adam ran into Ebony a couple of weeks ago (Ebony was one of the participants in Adam's threesome): "She's put on a couple pounds. She's a big gal. [Laughs.]"
Adam and Drew spent the weekend in Santa Barbara. Adam got a massage; Drew, however, opted for the "beach survival workout" and was attacked by bees. [Later in the week, Adam explains: "We went away to Santa Barbara 'cause KJEE, our affiliate up there, gave us a little 'spa weekend.'"]
Tonight is the last broadcast from the old Westwood One studio in Culver City. Adam threatened to stop coming in unless they moved: "Here's what happened. I did, what I always do -- which is the way we got a security guard here many years ago -- is, I said, 'Here's the date in which I will stop coming in.'"
