It seems Engineer Anderson has been silenced again. He didn't play a single drop all week. [Update: See note for Wednesday, May 8 and Monday, May 13, below.]
Tonight was call screener Dameon's last night working for the show. The new call screener taking his place is named Bryan. (Call screener Tara will be leaving soon as well.) [Update: Tara didn't end up leaving until November 30, 2003.]
Adam: Well, that's the show. I want to give a special thanks to phone screener Dameon.
Drew: Yahoo, Dameon! This is it. His swan song.
Adam: Tonight is his last night. He did a wonderful job for us while he was here with the Loveline family. And yeah, I look at it as a family. Although, I don't like my own family that much, so it doesn't really mean that much.
Drew: You treat us like your family. Yeah. It's great. We want to talk to you about that, in fact.
Adam: [Laughing.] About treating you like my own family?
Drew: Could you treat us like strangers, for Christ's sake?
Adam: All right. You're right. So, anyway, Dameon is a stand-up guy. We're just tickled pink to have him here for the months that he was here. And we're going to miss him and wish him well on his journeys, and know he will have much success in his life outside of "Loveline". So thanks to Dameon for doing a great job. I want to thank producer Ann for doing her usual great job, and co-producer, junior producer Lauren for doing a great job. I want to thank Dr. Drew and, uh...
Drew: Anderson.
Adam: Anderson. Yes. The wonderful Anderson, doing a wonderful job.
Anderson: You were about to forget me there, dude?
Adam: No, I was going to get you. But I was trying to think...
Drew: He's trying to think of the new screener's name. That's the problem here.
Adam: No, I know Bryan's name. But Bryan barely did anything, so I don't want to thank him. He just put in half a week. Give me a break. No, I was thinking of (Tera) "Don't Call Me (Tara)"... who's where? She gone too?
Drew: No, she's still around.
Adam: Oh.
Anderson: She's making a "Girls Gone Wild" tape.
Adam: She's a dynamite lady. So, until next time, this is Adam Carolla for Dr. Drew saying, "Mahalo."
Drew reads Adam's yearly income from his Social Security statement.

Adam is going to have a tooth pulled. This is the same tooth that has undergone three root canals.
Adam reveals that Producer Ann is a hard-core Chargers fan.
Engineer Anderson's recent silence is addressed for the first time:
Adam: That is the X-Ecutioners. You know, Anderson, I know you're not playing any more drops 'cause someone yelled at him, but I miss the applause. I really do.
Drew: [Laughs.] At least that.
Adam: I'd like to lobby for putting that back at the end of the... It always made the bands feel good.
[Brief applause drop.]
Adam: There you go. [Laughs.]
When Anderson was silenced early last year, it was the KROQ program director, Kevin Weatherly, who yelled at Anderson for reasons which were never discussed on the show. [Update: See note for Monday, May 13, below.]
Adam reveals that his stripper girlfriend (Lindsey) was English. "I had a stripper girlfriend who was from England. She would yell, 'Bullocks!' and she'd do her fingers like this at me, sort of a peace sign but it's the other way, and ram it up. It's the finger in England. Don't give them that peace sign over there, they'll be mad."
Today is Anderson's birthday. He turns 29. He reveals that his last name is Cowan (*):
Adam reads the third letter about the tree house from Drew's daughter, Paulina.
Drew plugs Engineer Anderson's film debut at the Spring 2002 Filmmakers Showcase, Saturday, May 18 at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach. For ticket information, call (562) 985-7000. [Update (April 13, 2003): See also this page at the CSULB web site. His film is titled Three Sicks.]
It is, in fact, the KROQ program director, Kevin Weatherly, who has once again silenced Engineer Anderson. Caller: "What's the deal with Anderson and the drops? 'Cause the show is really boring now." [Transcript]
Adam is now engaged to his girlfriend, Lynette. (If memory serves, this is their second engagement.)
Today is Adam's 38th birthday. He told an interesting story about an old videotape: "I was watching a tape of me putting this chick up to calling 'Loveline' seventeen years ago..." [Transcript]
According to guest David Arquette, the episode of "Son of the Beach" featuring Adam will air on Tuesday, June 18.
