Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 1:27 PM Thank you. I'm glad everyone likes it. After the "Submarine", which was almost entirely Adam, I wanted to balance it out with a nice Drew piece. And I don't think his Vicarness has mentioned it yet, but I'm hopeful! And now, some line item responses...
"Have you told Adam and Drew yet? Does West Wood let you do that, is that why the copyright is there, or you just trying to head off trouble before it starts?" -Masteel I sent the link to Adam Sunday, but who knows when he'll check his email! Anderson was just here, so I'm assuming that he'll probably pass it along. And I figure as long as Adam and Drew like the pieces, no one's gonna sue me. "I think you need to put those "cans" on their ears and have Adam wearing a hat when they are in the studio..." —victoria and B
I almost put a hat on him this time, but then I decided against it. I was this close, though! The cans, on the other hand, are big and lumpy, but I might have to start drawing them, for the sake of accuracy. "Just to appreciate how much work is involved, how long did it take to do this one?" —enliteneer
This one took a month, but it was a relatively relaxed month. I can comfortably do a half minute a week, but if something needs to be done quicker, I start sleeping less and just do it. Like the "Submarine" was three and a half minutes, and got done in just under a month. "And one more thing. Why did you not give your second animation Adam's title 'Subterranean Parking'...?" —GaveO
I completely forgot that he had named it!!! I struggled with what to call it for days, and eventually came up with "Grand Theft", and then at some point after I had posted the piece, I listened to the rest of the episode and heard the name! Doh! —Thunderbear |

With that classical music, playing over the picture of the statue at the end. GREAT. Thunderbear, what is your process when choosing a particular conversation between A&D to animate? Monday, April 11, 2005 at 9:23 AM i just watched it again. Wow, Amazing. I love the opening and end bumper page and its music. Anway, I'm surprised no one has mentioned this point: It's very interesting that in this animation you see Drews parents, the kicker tho is, and what is interesting is, that Drews parents DO look like Drew! His father looks like half Drew and his mother looks like half Drew. It must have been weird trying to come up with characters that resemble what two people would look like to spawn Drew. Amazing. By the way, I'm told that Drew is of Russian Descent, in this animation his father does look Russian I'm not so sure about the mom. Is Drew of 100 percent Russian descent? Alot of people dont know this, and ironically Drew has mentioned it, I knew it all along tho, that one of Europe's secrets is that the best looking women in the world come from Russia, Czech Republic and Hungary. Everyone always thinks Paris and Rome have the best. In fact the three Eastern European countries that I named there have MUCH better looking women, and more of them. —AbsolutCarib |

Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 5:42 AM AC- The Ruskie hotties were discussed in the TITS thread. Vanity Fair cover from last month shows 10 newer supermodels, all from these countries. The town I live in has swarms of Russian students from "affluent" families back home (means they probably use 2-ply TP), and many of the girls are definitely waffle crappers. Most are actively looking for an American with $ to marry, and they're not exactly ashamed to admit it. Aside from that, Brazil comes to mind for bangability ratio. —Drew, Please |
