I was the only one who laughed in the theater at that. That movie was not funny at all, or maybe I'm just depressed? But I was with a cute boy. Go me!

(although she did leave explicit instructions to not release certain materials until after her mom passed away as to not offend her. which were then later ignored by her publishing company apparently). she did disagree with her on a number of issues while she was alive though.

ok I just read Plath's bio. Don't see any similarities at all. I think depressed is an exaggeration. My biggest issue is being frustrated at not getting what I want easily which drives me into a depression. I have this huge, beautiful mural painted in my head of what my life is supposed to look like, and I can't seem to finish painting it into a reality (that's deep). Also my mom is being her usual pessimistic self, which is blocking me from turning my dreams into a reality.

no, it's not complicated. lena is 26(?) and has lived with her mom all her life. i think anyone in her position would be fighting with their mom. that's a long ass time.

like i said, plath cared enough about her mom to have the desire to keep certain things private until her mom passed (her mom ended up outliving her anyway).
"doesn't like her mom" is more a tongue-in-cheek way of saying just because someone is your confidante doesn't mean the relationship isn't strained.

and then, living with someone until you're 26 (or whatever) and calling them the c-word is certainly unfamiliar to me.
