Also, if you want to see someone who is very much not a brilliant comedian, listen to Chael Sonnen 6 days after UFC 117.

I was reminded when I was reading sherdog that Silva's last few performances, minus the belfort kick, haven't been that amazing. You have to go back to UFC 82 to see Silva do something really impressive.

It should also be said, with the way Silva treated Belfort at the weigh-ins and Maia during the match, no one can say with a straight face that he treats other fighters with "respect." Chael's never done bullshit like that.
Also, fuck Steven Seagal. He deserves to lose just for training with him.

STEVEN SEAGAL IS A SUPER FUCKING BRILLIANT COMEDIAN.

I love Chael Sonnen so hard. When you hit your knees tonight, ask God to love him too.

chael sonnen's loss has caused me to reevaluate my life.

That's a well made graphic, my only question is why did they count Chael Sonnen as a successful title "defence" for the July 7th bout before it even happened? Were they that confident?
Chael Sonnen is a good guy I was really pulling for him. He appeared on the Jim Rome show frequently and you can tell he's got a good personality.

I'd still say Sonnen is the best wrestler in the UFC at middleweight and even light heavyweight.
Silva is really just more creative and resourceful when it comes to strikes and submissions. Maybe I underestimated the value of working with Steven Seagal and his KA-RA-TAY.
Sonnen is a youngish dog that doesn't learn any new tricks. Wrestling will only get you so far.

Fight Matrix still has Chael at #2.
I don't understand why Bisping is #14. Middleweight is so fucking stacked. Chael should go to 205 with Henderson.

Chris Weidman reminds me of a supersized Frankie Edgar.

Why are these young men allowed to hit each other in the back?!?!?!
Hitting someone in the back can cause major kidney damage. You don't hit someone in the back unless they attacked your country or raped your mother or some shit like that.
I want to watch UFC and like it. I really do. But, I just think of the kidney damage and the long-term brain injuries.

I think Munoz is done. Weidman is good, but Munoz doesn't look like himself anymore.

Ariel did bring up three good points, but I did like Chael's responses. I would like to see what happens with Wiedman, Rockhold, Lombard, Boestch and Bisping then see Chael in the mix after some of that gets hashed out. It will be very sad if Zuffa can't get Rockhold fighting in the UFC.

Hector Lombard is going to push in Boetsch's shit (with a metal detector), then push in Weidman's shit, then Rockhold's shit and then Silva's shit.

I should also say, I really like Tim Boetsch, but... I really like Shane Carwin too, but I know he's only going to go so far in the heavyweight division.

he didnt gas, he conserved energy moving only when tim came at him. hector outstruck him all night, landed all the power punches and takedowns, then the judges robbed him

He looked gassed to me by the end of the first round (watch his stomach if you see the fight again). I didn't see who landed the most strikes, but it looked like he lost to me, although if he really out-struck Boetsch, then I'd have to give it to him.

There is no one in MMA that I like to see get punched more than urijah faber.

I don't understand how this is a draw. WTF 29-29? How the fuck do you get that?

"No opponent makes sense for Anderson at this moment unless we do a catchweight against Georges St. Pierre," he told Brazilian website Tatame. "They didn't offer the fight, but he's the only one that could do a super fight. Anderson has the biggest paycheck in the UFC, and you can't promote an event with these amateur kids that are coming up now".
It's on.
