Other than Adam's, I've become fans of Frosty, Heidi, & Frank...so I listen to their weekly podcasts now. I'm sure they'll be picked up at the end of the year and be on every day again.

Friday, April 3, 2009 at 2:09 PM
i join in with the "slut/asshole" bit and during the linda was late bit i say something about the early bird catching the worm and i also say something about spring forward fall back.
Friday, April 3, 2009 at 2:21 PM
mandee, you should call into my show and do a character or a comedy routine or something.

Friday, April 3, 2009 at 3:33 PM
ok, i'll do a character. i'm going to be an elderly lobster.
Friday, April 3, 2009 at 7:17 PM
mand, will it be a male or female lobster? if it's a female, it should have a prolapsed vagina and if it's male, perhaps something involving the prostate might be in order.
Friday, April 3, 2009 at 7:18 PM
Is there such a thing as prolapsed vagina? Is that a medical term?
I like the lobster with the prostate problem. That's funny!

my friend's mom had seven kids and all her innards dropped and started oozing out of all the holes in her nether regions. catloaf, beware. know your limits.
Friday, April 3, 2009 at 7:25 PM
Well, I have heard of women hurting their rectums during childbirth. Then they start shitting out their vadge, until it's fixed. Bad times.

^ no kidding. and why the hell do people feel the need to share this kind of information with me? i'm very impressionable and likely to have one of those doug heffernan dry heaves when i hear of such aliments. i know i'll be eating oysters or mussels one day in a nice restaurant and i'll have a fleeting mental image of my friend's mom's dangling vagina, and i'm gonna hurl.
edit: i can now add acm's story to my list of

Other than Adam's, I've become fans of Frosty, Heidi, & Frank...so I listen to their weekly podcasts now. I'm sure they'll be picked up at the end of the year and be on every day again.
I tried listening to FHFU but I couldn't get past the insane cackling at anything that was even mildly funny.
Conway and Whitman is pretty good. I started listening because of Gina Grad but then discovered that there's actually something worth listening to there. If you've heard Adam's morning show you've already heard Whitman doing Larry King or Regis or Leykis any of about a half dozen other voices.
Hardcore History is also worth listening to... but there aren't many of them and Dan Carlin doesn't seem very motivated to make more.
Real Time with Bill Maher is great. The whole unabridged show a couple of days after it airs on HBO. It's audio only... but then it's free and the video is worth paying for HBO for.
The McLaughlin Group is decent but annoying. Unlike Real Time (which is on a damned pay station and not PBS), they mix crappy ads into the podcast. They also mix both audio and video* episodes into the same podcast feed so I'm constantly having to delete links or video (and in the case of video I'm hammering their servers for no good reason). Also for some reason I can't fathom they cut out little pieces here and there (can't be to fit in the ads because it's a fucking podcast; I think it's just to be annoying).
*tiny, postage-stamp size video that's not even worth watching
The BBC Newspod is good and I used to listen to it but haven't had enough time recently.
I listened to a few episodes of This American Life because it was number one on iTunes.... interesting I guess but fairly dry even by my standards.
I feel like a jackass for mentioning it but there is always also my Monotone Drone and the obvious that we're supposed to exclude - Adam's podcast.
Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 7:40 AM
Really the only ones I have found that stay for long on my computer are:
Adams, FHFU, Conway and Whitman all no brainers.
But don't forget http://notiowa.com/ - For Brian Mollica and his bunch of Las Vegas degenerates, a real whore fest at This Ain't Iowa.
I tried the usual comedy crap Keith and the Girl, some other one that everybody was into but I can't even remember now and really nothing truly lasts long.
Oh and please check out my blogs they are works of mini genius: http://itswhatyouthink.blogspot.com for my rants and http://chasingthefun.blogspot.com to follow my world journey and finally http://threepixaday.blogspot.com
Go on try them

Is there such a thing as prolapsed vagina?
Actually there is one girl that whenever I had sex with her near her period (I.E. according to her BC about 2-3 days before she was scheduled to start) she would run to the bathroom afterward and claim that her "vajay" was hanging out" and she'd never felt that before. I told her about DAG's prolapsed anus bit, but just supplanted "vajay" for anus, and she did not find it amusing at all. It happened like 3 times and she swore every time that if it happened again that she'd never have sex again. I never witnessed it, nor had any desire to for that matter.
Monday, March 8, 2010 at 4:08 PM
i've known three people with prolapsed vjjs. they were all older and had had several children. why they chose to tell ME about it, i'll never know. why do women feel the need to utter these things out loud to uninterested parties?

you just added 2 years to awag's virginity clock anfernee.
Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 6:33 PM
Joe Frank - when I discovered him in early 00's I ravenously downloaded and listened to all his stuff. ZT might like it.
Fire & Ice from March 4, 2001 and At Last from January 23, 2000 are both good starting points.

mandee where do you find the time to imbibe all this content, amongst the House reruns and replayings of Fried Green Tomatoes?
But seriously, that's a ton of shows,I only listen to two daily podcasts now that Daves of Thunder is no more =( and I still fall behind on occasion.
Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 4:26 AM
fried green tomatoes does take up a lot of time (ilu fannie flagg 4evr!).
i listen going to work, coming home from work, and on my breaks. and sometimes i'll listen while i'm doing other things. examples of other things are going to the grocery store or reading my twitter feed.
airking, i don't listen to your podcast. did you see it in my list? i don't feel like i owe you anything. except my unconditional love.
zt - i think you would like "walking the room"
Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 5:58 PM
dave's of thunder is no more? that's awesome. is it because they had 1 listener?
also, what kevin said.
Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 11:28 PM
now that Daves of Thunder is no more
no one, and I mean no one saw that coming. Dameshek is a fucking talent that will never fail (for the sixth time).
Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 4:18 AM
sometimes i like to pretend the sklar brothers are my cousins.
Monday, April 11, 2011 at 12:25 AM
Guys, on our show tonight, we were sent three different topless shots from three different listeners. Two of the chicks had really big racks, too.
It's nights like this that really make me feel like my career in radio is paying off.
Monday, April 11, 2011 at 12:30 AM
i wish there were podcasts when i was in middle/high school.
but then again, if there were, i may never have bothered listening to lovelinez.
Monday, April 11, 2011 at 10:06 AM
I wish there were girls sending me topless photos in middle school and high school... or college... or after college... you know, like right now.
Monday, April 11, 2011 at 10:08 AM
^ you don't like me, but you may like my tits...yes?
Monday, April 11, 2011 at 10:37 AM
Why does everyone think I don't like them? I'm sure your breasts are lovely--not knowing the current score with you and Masteel I'd have to say I'd feel a little strange if they showed up in my inbox... not to mention I'm dating someone now who may not like it.

Monday, April 11, 2011 at 3:15 PM
stefanie: marc maron is in or about to be in australia. are you going to see him? i think he's in melbourne. i don't know where you are compared to that, but you could fulfill my dream of getting to meet him. since you're the only one i know who "gets it".
Monday, April 11, 2011 at 3:21 PM
Monday, April 11, 2011 at 3:24 PM
i'm pretty excited. jason keeps watching marc maron stand up and interviews on youtube and i'm like STOP i don't want to see him and be all like "ah i heard you say that on the internet already!"
but omg his appearance on the new conan was so adorable.
Monday, April 11, 2011 at 4:25 PM
i have this ridiculously revealing heartfelt email that i've had saved in my drafts since he started his podcast, but i've never had the guts to send it.
i'm so jealous. i check constantly at his tour dates to see if he'll ever be in chicago.
Monday, April 11, 2011 at 4:59 PM
She won't like it like you don't like me. WHY DON'T YOU LIKE ME, ZT. WHY. —airking32
If you had such a button, I would click it like George Jetson.
Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 8:07 PM
ave's of thunder is no more? that's awesome. is it because they had 1 listener?
No, the Weeze actually mentioned several times on air that they were "by far the number 2 player on the Ace Broadcasting Network". They were just too busy with their day jobs to be able to commit to a weekly podcast.
Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 1:24 PM
the sound of young america is doing a live show in chicago tonight. i'll be rubbing elbows with some of public radio's finest.
then i get to see jordan jesse go on sunday.
these are podcasts.
Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 2:15 PM
ahhhhhhhh. more details. did you give him a present?
Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 3:53 PM
we were walking upstairs and he was waiting at the elevator and jason is all like "hi" so then we say things that i have forgotten and he gives us stickers.
he introduced himself which was lulzy
i wrote him an email this morning and he answered me right away.
Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 3:58 PM
that's so cool!!!!!!!
are you seeing any other comedians? i feel like i keep hearing people saying that they're going to melbourne.
Friday, April 15, 2011 at 4:03 PM
yeah there are tons of people here right now but i'm sure the only other thing we are going to is the live podcast taping.
Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 12:05 AM
live podcast taping.
