Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 6:53 AM i've got a buncha thots i dont think anyone wants to read, so here goes. -i agree w/ mandee that it's homophobic to express disgust. saying something like i'm cool with azns but when i see them out in public touching it just makes me sick would be racist rite? anytime there's a "them" it's a prety good indiciation you're in that territory. -agin i dont understand worrying about straightness percentages to seem normal or something. nothing wrong with it if its what you want to do. -i dont think ppl like hocpoc are why the geys cant marry. its the people from around here in the south who flat out hate queers and arent afraid to tell them is why. -the research drew talked about was that there was an increase in activity in parts of brains of self identified straight men when shown certain images. that doesn't explain why there was an increase in activity, that's conjecture. there's lots of reasons someone might register it as a threat when hooked up to monitors in a research center and gay sex images are flashed in front of them. it could be because like i said they'd been teased their whole lives about gayness and seeing it is threatening to them. drew interprets everything through the lens of his normalcy viewer of the world but correlations (swelling in penises and brain activity in tandem with images on a screen) does not imply causation. | |
