Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 8:44 PM Miguel, Why don't you go on Craigslist and look at general labor jobs? They pay good money, $10-11/hr. Or look at working for a political party, under "nonprofit jobs" they pay a good salary. —drakeguy19 |

Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 10:57 PM There's this new guy at work. His face looks a bit...off. Come to find out he has Down's Syndrome. Some people with Down's Syndrome can function fairly well in the real world and don't need nearly as much help as some might assume. Surely, if this guy can find a job and keep a job, whois can do the same. —acm323 |

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 5:18 PM Well im sure I can go to Jack in the Box and get a job, but the point is that making $8 an hour at full time will only gte me about $1200 a month after taxes. Rent around theese parts are about $700-$900 for a room. Ive had about 5 interviews and only 1 of them was for a legitamate job. The other 4 were for pyramid scheme sales positions. Even when I wemt to the job interview last week the HR manager told me I was overqualified and asked me "why do you wan to work here doing inside sales? Seems to me you're overqualified and could be doing something else in some sort of corporate marketing position." The probelm is that the economey sucks and the unemployement rate is at 6%, which is considered really high. In fact, I read in the new york times that this is the worst job market for graduating college students in over 50 years. I have over 5 years of marketing and management experience and id hate ot take a plumbing job when I can be doing somethign else. I dunno, subsidized housing sounds good to me. I think is Bush is spending 80 billion a yr on killing people, then he could spend $500 a month on helping me pay my rent. The programs are out there for a reason, and I might as well use them. —whoisnumbaone |

Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 3:41 AM I didn't know you're name was Miguel...anyway you should listen to drake's advice...Craigslist has alotta jobs and shit, full time and part-time, that could be of interest to you...or you can go hang out at the Lowe's parking lot tomorrow morning and start askin' some dude for a job or something...I know this Mexican dude who did that and some dude gave him a job...he does roofing, sheetrock, painting, sandblasting, etc...basic construction shit any dumbfuck with half a brain can do...last time I seen him he said he was makin like $12 an hour...granted its shitty work, but heh...good times... —Sassafras Roots |
