Edited Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 5:01 PM This thread is for me and pookie (because she at least watches it). I've seen every season. I missed the last episode, which sucks. But I thought Rayven and Jamie had one of the best opening night performances ever. And 2/3 judges didn't like it. What gives? Also a perfect example of the eccentric costuming..Rayven and Jamie's outfits were a complete miss, even taking the theme into consideration, and Marquis and Susie's were spot-on. I hate Mia Michaels' choreography. I'm not sure I've liked anything she's choreographed (including "Tim Burton's wedding" tonight). Especially last season's (I think) "this is me and my dad in heaven" which they just had to do twice..ugh. Wow, commercials during the show now? Snazzy. —chix0r |

Friday, June 13, 2008 at 6:46 PM People who are really into dance must feel the same way about this show as I do when I see something like Australian Idol. The singers don't know or care, the crowd only responds to egoism, and on top of that they circumcise the performances down to a measly 2 or so minutes while leaving the "judging" dragging on and on.
I don't feel dance much and am not confident in it but even I can see how tacky most of this show is.

Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 1:38 AM i'm not exactly sure how teaching choreography works, but i'm assuming that the choreographers demonstrate the moves. well, i did assume that because whenever they do any other dance, the choreographer either does it with them in rehearsals or does it before them and says this is what you're going to learn. however, mia michaels doesn't really look like she can do the moves that she choreographs, which has always confused me. still, i'll admit i'm a huge mia michaels fan aaand i do always get excited when she choreographs something. and she seems nice. —mandee |

I know nothing about dance but their first dance was great to a layman and they bash it. then kerington(sp) quits half way through her hip hop dance and they even acknowledge it but say (we are going to forget about that.) then they talk about how great they are. it is also annoying this seaon how they seem to walk on eggshells with their criticism because they dont want to offend the choreographer. every single comment from the judge throws in several comments to the choreograpehr. is mia michales high or drunk? —AKA Who? |

Comfort deserves to be out this week, although I'd still prefer Jessica. The only routine that I thought was awesome was Courtney & Gev's cha-cha-cha. They're kissing more choreographer ass than usual, but they have always done that, and they've also said negative things about the choreography this season. Will's solo was just silly. I didn't agree with Nigel's comment that Comfort dances better choreographed than in her solos; I liked her solo better than everyone's tonight, except maybe Mark's. Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 6:33 PM the thing about comfort is that she is very stiff and deliberate whenever she does anything that is not hip hop. she does excel at hip hop, but that's not enough. while she is outstanding at hip hop, there is no fluidity to any other dance styles that she attempts. all the other girls are able to adapt to different styles. i was shocked as hell when kherington was sent home instead of comfort. so hoo do you think will win? —pookie |

Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 6:06 PM i think tonight was "sabotage courtney" night. josh is close friends with katee and he really dropped courtney hard during rehearsals even though he is strong enough not to have done that. then, in the ridiculous final number, he didn't pick courtney up on cue. then, nigel told her she wasn't as good as katee, which is something i've never seen a judge do. i realize that katee is a better dancer, but it seems as though the judges want to make sure that katee wins. i think will was the better dancer of the guys, but twitch and josh had more of a gimmick that i think swayed voters. —pookie |
