Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 12:00 PM Yeah, I don't really care. I'll watch boxing if it's on somewhere but I don't follow it. I'd never actually shell out money for a Pay-Per-View match. My favorite match ever was the Tyson ear-biting one that most boxing "purists" hate. I thought it was fantastic and was so glad I saw it live. —Beat It! |

Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 12:02 PM I'm going to shell out about 70 bucks for the Pacquiao fight this month, and then again for the Cotto/Margarito fight next month. I spend my money on the stupidest shit... —anfernee |

Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 12:08 PM Edited Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 12:42 PM I care about boxing, but boxers retire and un-retire all the time. How many times has Holyfield retired over the past 10 years? Oscar? I doubt Floyd has fought his last fight unless he's really good with his money. —bguirk |

Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 12:21 PM Holyweather? Do you mean Holyfield? He retired twice, but it was health related, not monetary oriented. Oscar? Um, zero? It really doesn't happen as much as you seem to think. I know that happens in every sport [Michael Jordan, Ricky Williams, even in Nascar with Terry Labonte] I'm pretty certain that Floyd has fought his last bout. —anfernee |

Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 12:50 PM Edited Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 12:57 PM Oscar has given interviews where he's been like "this is probably my last fight." Evander (fixed) has retired twice. Leonard retired multiple times. Foreman retires, comes back, and then won't go away. I just wouldn't put a ton of stock into it--whether they do it in a formal press conference or whatever they always come back for one more until they start talking funny. B-Hop's has been fighting his "last fight" since 2005. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Floyd. Just give him a couple of years. he's not a pussy if he retires--he's a fucking genius if he can be one of the few boxers to square their finances away and choose their body over the huge purses. —bguirk |

Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 6:22 PM yea being a carolla fan i do feel bad, but i have tried watching it a few times for him, even tried it. physically boxing is fun, in a wierd sort of way, but i don't follow it. even though i don't care about pro boxing, i'm still pissed, that would be an exciting event, and even i would watch it. the only time i've gotten into a fighting sport was in thailand when i was thoroughly drunk, and it was at an actual kickboxing match, so i was just joining the crowd's enthusiasm —jizzgrenade |

I'm a fan, not a zealot. I also don't give a rat's ass about classic cars, Survivor or the Rams, and I don't feel the least bit bad about it. And I feel confident Adam would be okay with that. —Beat It! |

I was just so shocked and disappointed cause Money May is my second favorite boxer behind Pacman, and I was realllllly looking forward to seeing him fight the winner of the Cotto/Margarito fight. —anfernee |
