"California...tumbles into the sea" always gets a huge cheer at Steely Dan shows.

Mandee and Donald Fagen circa 1973 almost look like the same person:

Bad Religion's "Los Angeles is Burning" got a huge roar in LA when I saw them a couple weeks ago ironically.

that guy doesn't even look remotely like me or anyone i could be related to.

'i will remember you' by sarah mclaughblah always gets a loud cheer. i know this because they always play the live version on the radio. i could also probably guess it, since it's her hit.

without having to do a bunch of research, anyone know who gave that perfectly executed guitar solo in the steely dan vid? that isn't walter becker, is it?

i'm thinking it could be one of four (relatively unknown) guys.

i didn't actually watch the video, but could it have been larry carlton?

edit: i'm having speaker issues, otherwise i wouldn't miss an opportunity to watch a steely dan video. even if drake posted it.

i thought carlton or possibly lee ritenhour, but they weren't listed as session musicians on the album "my old school" was released on.
i would think they would perform live with the musicians used in the session, but...?

still could be carlton though. just wish i knew someone (other than my step dad who i avoid) that would know the answer.

It really isn't that exciting, just them miming to the song.

And Catloaf is right again.
