Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 2:11 PM Has anyone listened to the new Weezer CD? The reviews have been somewhat negative, which is only notable because it seems that music critics generally can't slurp them enough. Is it worth buying? Where do you rank it in their overall discography? —Beat It! |

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 2:16 PM Good question, I bought it today, I really like "The Greatest Man that Ever Lived", it's got a modern Bohemian Rhapsody feel to it. I rank the CD's like this: Blue Pinkerton Green Red Maladroit Make Believe Nearly in Chronological order, but I think this latest one is better than their previous two offerings. Bottom line is, it's Weezer, buy it. —anfernee |

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 3:33 PM If Blue didn't have Only In Dreams, than Pinkerton would definitely be better. But that song is so epic that it edges out Pinkerton. —anfernee |

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 4:51 PM Holy cow! I think I've got one here Now just what am I s'posed to do? I've got a number of irrational fears That I'd like to share with you First, there's rules about old goats like me Hangin' 'round with chicks like you -but i do like you- And another one: you say "like" too much But I'm shakin' at your touch I like you way too much My baby I'm afraid I'm falling for you I'd do 'bout anything to get the hell out alive or maybe I would rather settle down with you totally listening to pinkerton right now. I should like learn that song on acoustic and proceed to swooning a girl off her feet. has anyone seen the play miss saigon or Madame Butterfly? That's what this CD is based on. It's such a sad story. —anfernee |
