Friday, June 6, 2008 at 6:56 PM constitutional law is hard! I'm still wondering how I got a 'B' in Mass Media. I got an F on the first exam, I probably averaged a C or B on the quizzes, and I probably got either a C or B on the final. How does that add up to a B? (80%-89%) The grading system is corrupt, but hey I'm not complaining. —adams_babymomma |

Friday, June 6, 2008 at 7:11 PM Edited Friday, June 6, 2008 at 7:12 PM ^I was a shitty student in high school too. I was ranked #588 of 662, my overall GPA was a 2.25 In junior college, not much changed. I failed 2 classes, and got 2 D's. However my GPA still sucked and I had to start from basic math, and English since I did bad on the assessment test.
I've been at CSUS for the past 3 semesters. I have not failed anything yet so far..but I'm kinda scared for the summer and fall since i'm taking upper division business classes. I'm still trying to figure out if I wanna switch back to business or stay as a communication studies major. —adams_babymomma |

Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 1:06 AM Edited Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 1:07 AM For me, math is pretty easy until it gets to Calculus, then I'm a dumbass. ------------------ OP: Michael Ian Blacks' blogs crack me up. Some Advice on How to Deal With Stress Life is so busy these days. Consequently, we all face stress. Even me. Yes, I’m a busy celebrity whose days are filled with glamour, but I find it’s important to take a little “me” time each day to do a little activity that anybody, even you, can afford. Daydreaming. Daydreaming is like a little vacation in your brain, or “Braincation.” Bored at work? Take a five minute Braincation to the sandy beaches of Mexico’s Cozumel. Follow that up with a couple of real bottles of icy cold beer, and soon work won’t feel so boring. Or maybe you’re a parent dealing with a couple excitable toddlers. Do yourself a favor: put the kids in front of the TV for a few minutes and take a Braincation to the top of a snowy mountain. Schuss down the slopes, taking the time to enjoy the view as you descend to the lodge below. Then open your eyes and chase down that Braincation with a steaming cup of Irish coffee or two. The kids will be a lot more manageable after that, believe me. Here’s something I do when I’m feeling stressed by autograph seekers and hangers-on. I excuse myself to my hotel suite, sit cross-legged on the floor, and imagine myself floating in a hot air balloon over an African savannah. “Look down there, a pride of lions!” “And over there, a funny hippopotamus wallowing in the mud.” To augment this braincation, I like a bottle of very good champagne. The whole bottle. When I emerge from my hotel suite a few minutes later, I feel refreshed and ready to face the world. It’s so important to take time for yourself throughout the day. If you find yourself short on time, you can skip the mental imagery and just go straight for the booze. If I’m being honest, that’s what I usually do. Who wants to see a fucking hippo, anyway? —HocusPocus |

Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 8:36 AM I was ranked #588 of 662, my overall GPA was a 2.25 Wow! You must have worked pretty hard to manage that. Don't let upper division/lower division worry you I remember the first 400 level class I took. For some reason, going in I was expecting something markedly different, yet i found no difference at all. Somehow still, it was surreal to take my first 500 level class. Now I've been taking nothing but 799 for the last year [though it does look like the end may actually be in sight]. —anobody |

I hope you're right. I still have to take lower division math though, last semester I took statistics and got a 'B' only because my professor gave us 100 extra bonus points. I'm taking finite math, and I heard that finite comes before statistics. Hopefully it will be just a review since I took math in reverse order. —adams_babymomma |
