Monday, June 2, 2008 at 9:49 PM From family to country how do we do it, have we done it, or is it possible? Where are you in terms of your family/friends on trying to change America for the better with this years election? Has your family been one sided or have you been like mine, one perspective against the other to the point that the other person in discussion is completely delluded in your eyes. So much that they vote for the wrong reasons. *Mind you I firmly believe that you have the right that seperates us from any other country or pre-existing governmental entitity. Hold your ideas/conspiracys for now that your vote doesn't matter or hold tightly to your 1st ammendment and disagree, but what I'm saying is this. You by the power or internal will that be, can make up your own mind and opinion to select the person that you feel can benefit/best upholds your stance/beliefs. To tear apart oneself from the inside... I really wish this had some asshole reference to it, but I'm just curious. —rAnCIDsICk@!!! |

Monday, June 2, 2008 at 9:57 PM While I agree with your message,"you have the right that seperates us from any other country or pre-existing governmental entitity" bothers me. I hear it constantly: "In no other country can people believe whatever they want""Nowhere else in the world can people speak their minds and not fear governmental reprisal" etc. Have you/everyone else who uses this rhetoric forgotten about the rest of the quote civilized unquote world? —derekho |

Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:14 PM Edited Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:22 PM Of course I'm not one to say that America has it's dirty hands but from what "History" seems to suggest is that places like this free speech forum (-NSFW) could not exist without the freedom to assemble. Many people died cuz of that, of course people fear the reprecussions of what they say. Do you randomly walk up to a stranger and tell them fuck you without some kind of reprissal. But I know what your saying is not as extreme as that but I do think we should also not be afraid of things like that. America currently seems to kinda govern itself on the status quo and uses the constitution like shit I don't know ground rules... Like pirates of the carribean :)
Think about this texas Polygamy stuff, it's only bad for taxes and more importanly suspected children negligence. But do we have the right to what we believe, its not as Anarchail (misspelled) as some would dream but there is the need for a slow pace sometimes. I realized I didn't answer anything you asked but, I guess no I haven't forgotten about the rest of the world. We have been called the least intelligent country in the world for great reason because people haven't taken/ or not given the oppurtunity to take advantage of education to develop a sense of reasoning. But there are also places in the world where the tools to do so are completely abandoned for another chain of thougth. I do believe that we were at one time the torch bearers for this type of thinking, but currently those of us that try to analyze beyond or current needs is a dwindling affair that is self destructing our countries young and brightest.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 5:37 AM Honestly, to use a Drew term, I don't feel like you're tracking well with all of this. There's obviously something heavy weighing on you and I get the gist of what you are saying, but I think I'm missing exactly what you're getting at. What it feels like is some deeply personal issue couched in grander terms of social issues and politics. Are you doing all right? —Beat It! |

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 5:40 AM But could that status of torch-bearer derive from the fact that we export our culture so much? The US is center stage in a lot of political and social matters around the world. It makes sense that people look to us that haven't yet gotten as far. But that's not to say there aren't countries that are less noticeable that have just as much if not more freedom of expression. —derekho |

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 8:54 PM Edited Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 9:30 PM I always get rancid and htgio mixed up. I guess I can't tell the blacks apart, even in an interweb screen name. Har. That was meant to be funny. Yeah, you're not tracking well. But, you know, elections are just a distraction to the fact that we're all monkey's worshiping the Alpha, and in the end we're worm food without the faintest clue. Emotions feel good or bad while you're neurons are firing, but in the end it's just an evolutionary survival mechanism, to make you produce the most 50% genetic copies of you as possible. Still, with all that, it still feels really good to fuck. You shouldn't get so worked up about it, I say. —Masteel |

I always get rancid and htgio mixed up That's funny 'cause they couldn't be more different. That was meant to be funny Yeah but still! rancid looks more hispanic to me than black anyway. Having met Rancid, it wouldn't even occur to me that he's black. Then again, I don't see race (and Rancid has super light skin). —anobody |

Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 6:38 PM I went to a bar in redlands the other day. Redlands is like a white protestant rich town about 20 min from my place in riverside. Anyways I walked in with 2 friends (one asian and one black) and I felt really weird. This guy started giving me the stink eye and my friends was like "lets get out of here." I dunno why but I got really angry and I wanted to fight. Id kick the shit out of this fuckers ass anyways. Anyways, Im already SUPER drunk and decided its not a good idea to fight. So i start walking towards the door and the guy who gave me the stink eye stops me in front of the door and says "you got a probelm mother fucker? You wann see whos tuffer?" I respond with "no dude, obviously theres somehting goin on in here and Im too drunk to deal with anything. If im not welcome then im leaving." His buddy then grans my arm and says, "no wait, hold on, im sorry let me get you a drink." I looked at him all confused and thought that maybe it was a trap of some sort, so i walked out of there, got my friends and went towards the car. We BARELY get across the street and I heard sirens and tires screeching. I tuned around and I see 3 cop cars pull up in front of the bar, draw thier guns, and run into the bar yelling "hand up!: I got a really bad feeling in my gut. I knew what was going on right then. Obviously those dudes were trying to get me all riled up and tryin to get me to start a fight, knowing that they had already called the cops and told them that I had already started. When they realized that I was heading out, and was not going to play their game, they tried to buy me a drink in order to keep me there long enough for th ecops to show up and fuck me up. Good thing I didnt kick that fuckers ass when I had the chance. Funny thing is, had I been sober, I prolly wouldve been alot more liekly to fight. That experience sucked. It was the first time I had ever dealt with true, 100% hateful racist people. —whoisnumbaone |
