Friday, January 11, 2008 at 10:42 PM I don't know if it's because Danny's gone now, and not interupting Adam, but I suspect that's the case. I listened in the beginning, thought it was okay. Then they started the "morning zoo" phase, cliche morning radio, and I stopped listening. I've been listening the past week, and it's great. No interuptions, no morning zoo shit, and classic Adam Carolla. My question is, to those who've been listening throughout, is this a change, or has it been like this, even when Danny was there? Do you think it's better now, or am I just crazy? —Masteel |

Friday, January 11, 2008 at 11:14 PM There has certainly been some change and improvement since Danny left, but, overall, it's been pretty good all along. At best, it's like there was a slightly distracting / annoying squeaking sound that you'd almost not even really notice or be bothered by that was occasionally coming from the hinges before, but they've shot a bit of graphite in there and the squeak went away. —anobody |

Friday, January 11, 2008 at 11:26 PM Some great shows this week. Ace talks about Dr. Drew a bunch during one of the news segments, Bryan admits to using a website for his loveline sounds/clips, the to G or F and some Loveline type advice...huge improvement lately. I started listening once they got rid of Dave and things have been getting better steadily since then. —bguirk |

It's not the same show, why should he try to force it? Anyway, it seems like most of the "Loveline Magic" that involved callers was just using them as a jumping off point to launch a jag. That's one of the great things about the new show - he has the freedom to go off and talk about random shit without always having to go back to the callers. he was on the dave dumbshit show too: Are you sure you're an adult? —anobody |

Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 1:51 PM I don't think the LL audience was built by making fun of callers, if anything that kinda pissed me off sometimes when a person in real need, who happened to be stupid, would call up, and he'd make fun of them. No, just his rants, and his interviews, those are what's the best, I think. Not just rants, but just him telling his point of view on things. —Masteel |

Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 11:50 PM I like UFC, but I'm a very casual fan and I'm pretty ambivalent about it. I still feel like someone will die in the ring any day now. I have been to some boxing matches both out here in MI and back home seen some vicious hits where it sounds like brain damage is being done and I have a problem with that which is why I won't go to cheap fights any more and I think those color my experience of what I'm seeing on TV. UFC taking out the stomps and hits to the throat was a good move, but the holds that lead to KO leave a very slim margin of error for the refs. I know people who went to the older fights at They're obviously well trained, but you can really mess someone up that way. for TACS segments, I just feel like after hearing three or four of them on the UFC I get what Adam has to say, get what Matt has to say--but to each their own. —bguirk |

Music Monday is lame usually, but 2 weeks ago, when they were doing tailgate songs, in honor of the BCS championship game, and Bryan picked that Christmas Shoes song as a bad song to tailgate to, I was laughing so hard, just picturing some 40 something rednecks out there with their polish dog sandwiches and beer, blasting "Sir I want to buy these shoes, for my mama please, its christmas eve and these shoes are just her size." Raiders talk is cool, cause I love Oakland, Prisoner Dave is awesome I like hearing what he has to say, and of course I'm a huge fan of UFC. —anfernee |

Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 4:03 PM Ace was on Leno last night. He was really good. He told a story about how he took his dog Molly to Jimmy's house to watch football. Then while he was drunk watching football he heard someone yell: "Molly's escaped!" So, he ran out of Jimmy's house and he ran down the street looking for Molly. This guy walking down the street gave him a funny look. Later he realized that he had been jogging with a beer in his hand. Then he told a story about how his wife took his daughter somewhere for the day and he was left with Sonny. He took Sonny to watch football at Jimmy's house. He brought a 12 pack of beer to Jimmy's house. He strapped his son in the stroller and he put the 12 pack in the other seat where his daughter usually sits. Then he headed for Jimmy's house. As he was walking he saw the SAME guy pass him by and give him another look. The guy probably thinks Adam is a raging alcoholic. He said that he's expecting the guy to call child protective services on him any day now. Hee hee! —acm323 |
