The case of a goat who was raped and killed has prompted a push for a bill that would outlaw bestiality in _______.

After a goat was raped and killed in a town, animal activists, police and citizens were almost as shocked to find out that bestiality isn't a crime.

But it might be soon.

A representative have filed legislation to make it a first-degree felony to have sex with animals or promote or advertise bestiality.

”It's true. It's sick. There needs to be a law,” said some person, a longtime crusader for children and animal rights.

A suspect in the case, a 48-year-old man, is serving an 11-month, 29-day jail sentence on animal-theft charges in connection with the attempted abduction of another goat in a separate case.

The phrase "first degree felony" sounds like Florida. Besides, Germans are not likely to think of sexual proclivities as crimes, more like lifestyle choices.

There's so many state laws in the US that explicitly outlaw sexually deviant behavior that I can't imagine a state "forgetting" to outlaw bestiality until now. I'd think Germany.

Baby taken away from parents who tried to sell him on eBay

(AP) — Authorities have taken custody of a 7-month-old boy after his parents posted an ad on eBay offering to sell him.

Police spokesman says the baby was placed in the care of social services.

Police spokesman said on Saturday that the mother told police the Internet ad was only a joke. Authorities have begun an investigation into possible child trafficking against the parents.

No offers were made for the child in the two hours and 30 minutes the ad was posted. The Internet auction site deleted the posting later.

Several people who saw the ad alerted police.

Parents try to sell baby on eBay

BERLIN, Germany (AP) -- Authorities in southern Germany said Saturday they have taken custody of a 7-month-old boy after his parents posted an ad on eBay offering to sell him for one euro, the equivalent of $1.57.

Peter Hieber, a spokesman for police in the Bavarian town of Krumbach, said the baby was placed in the care of youth services in the southwestern Allgaeu region, although the child's 23-year-old mother insisted the ad was only a joke.

Authorities have launched an investigation into possible child trafficking against the baby's mother and 24-year-old father, neither of whom was identified.

"Offering my nearly new baby for sale, as it has gotten too loud. It is a male baby, nearly 28 inches (70 cm) long and can be used either in a baby carrier or a stroller," police quoted the ad as reading.

No offers were made for the child in the two hours and 30 minutes the ad was posted on Tuesday. EBay later deleted the posting, but assisted police in tracking down the parents.

Several people who saw the ad alerted police.

Teacher lets students vote on whether to let little boy stay in class

Officials say they've reassigned a kindergarten teacher whose class "voted out" a 5-year-old boy who is being tested for a form of autism.

After the boy misbehaved last week, --- (teacher) "decided to bring him in front of the class and let the other kids tell him what they didn't like about him, kind of ridiculed him," ---, tells the ---.

--- says students then voted 14-2 in favor of having the boy removed from ---'s classroom.

"He was incredibly upset," ---, the boy's mother, says in an interview with ---. "The only friend he has ever made in his life was forced to do this."

A school spokeswoman says --- has been removed from the classroom pending the outcome of an internal review.

I'm going with Florida, Americans love seeing other people humiliated/humiliating people.

We had that system in place in my 4th grade class, it was where the majority voted and whatever they decided was what you had to do.

One time I got sent up to the front at Homeroom to stand in front of everybody and they voted to have me sit in the back corner at a desk for a week, I don't even remember what for now. I think I might have yelled hi to a friend out in the hall as I was coming in to class one day. Anyway it was very humiliating and I felt like I didn't belong and like everyone thought I was a goof. This was also a school where a couple kids in my grade kept picking on me and the teachers didn't believe me and suggested I was paranoid when I tried to report it to them, and the principal wouldn't do anything about it either.

i'd go with florida because i don't think germans are stupid enough to ask 5 year olds to make this kind of decision. and i think that in florida the education system would be so bad that this teacher wouldn't be fired, she'd just be reassigned. plus, americans have such a need to fit in and be liked that i think the teacher would want to try to side with the class against a disliked student so she remains popular.

and florida has always had problems with voting. har har har.
