the way i have it figured, who cares who the next president is!
they'll surely be a million times more competent and less embarrassing to this country then G.W.

i'd be happier with pogo the clown at this point.

George Bush is a smart man. He's done a lot for the Iraqi people, but you wouldn't understand cause you're not Iraqi.

Disclaimer: my views regarding my father are widely known, and any comments I make here are not to be construed as me either agreeing or disagreeing with him, with the war, or anything else (so there!)

Now that I've gotten that out of the way. My father is completely opposed to the war, and George Bush's foreign policy. And granted he lives here, but, his entire family (brothers/sisters/cousins/nephews/nieces) all feel the same way, and they still live over there. I'm curious as to what you'd make of their opinions.

her brain works a lot like my 1st long term g/f's.

when asked why she believed something or thought a certain way, she wouldn't have anything, and become really defensive and mean to hide the fact that she couldn't support whatever the topic was. she'd turn the discussion into "why are you such an asshole?" when all i did was ask her to lay out her reasoning.

it's like she'd say, "water isn't wet." so, you'd stick her hand under the faucet and take it out dripping, and would then say, "god you're being a prick." lol and she was shocked when we didn't spend the rest of our lives together.

only attractive people can get away with this.

Just to add a bit to what Laith said - if you read or watch news from the Middle East (for example, Mosaic: World News From The Middle East aggregated by Link TV, you will often see broadcasts showing things that mysteriously don't get a lot of coverage here - like Iraqis whose homes and loved ones get blown up in our air strikes, or who see Baghdad as a dangerous place in ruins thanks to USian occupation.

I don't know about you, but if some foreigners came in and ousted our despot, but, in the process, blew up my home, badly burning my baby sister, killed my neighbor, and left my city without potable water or reliable electricity, I would be more than a little tempted to do whatever I thought I could to strike back.

the people who are burning homes and blowing up gas stations are NOT americans, just those crazy ass terrorist.

now some Iraqi's say that The U.S is giving money to the terrorist...and all this other bullcrap.

and the assyrians think that that The U.S. govt. favors the Kurds over the arabs/assyrians that's why they let them discriminate against the non-Kurds in the "Kurdistan" region.

My opinion is that the U.S. govt does not care about assyrians, they only make up less than 2% in all of Iraq. The Kurds are the majority and they have occupied "kurdistan" (northern Iraq) for many years, so of course they own that land and can easily get rid of the assyrians and arabs that live in thier territory. No buts or ands about it. The Kurds have suffered in the hands of Saddam so let them take over the parliment...they're more wiser than an average Arab.

i personally would like to see Iraq become 100% westernized, they already have satelite to watch American shows, but i think the corporate comepanies should all open up chains in Iraq...and maybe small business can move there and within 50 years they can become corporate...this would not only increase employment for Americans but also it would stabilize Iraq.

the world is better off without saddam. We would have all been lucky if he was taken out back in 1992.

I agree they're crazy ass terrorists, but when a USian pilot flying a USian plane drops a USian bomb on a target causing "significant civilian collateral damage", I don't see how you can claim that Americans didn't do it.

Americans certainly aren't alone, but they're also not innocent.

now some Iraqi's say that The U.S is giving money to the terrorist...and all this other bullcrap.

Money or not, the U.S. certainly is arming them (even if only through incompetence).

and the assyrians think that that The U.S. govt. favors the Kurds over the arabs/assyrians that's why they let them discriminate against the non-Kurds in the "Kurdistan" region.

This is only because the U.S. government is unaware that there are Assyrians and knows nothing about them.

My opinion is that the U.S. govt does not care about assyrians, they only make up less than 2% in all of Iraq.

Exactly.

i personally would like to see Iraq become 100% westernized

Me too.

When you think about it, isn't this what we've got neutron bombs for in the first place? Depopulate the area and repopulate it with westerners. At the very least, it'd eliminate all of the infighting between groups we don't know like Sunnis and Shiites and Kurds and Assaryians, and W could exit saying that he has democratized Iraq.

the world is better off without saddam

Is it really?

Is Iraq?

The country's infrastructure has been decimated, and the place has become a breeding ground for terrorists who want to avenge the death and destruction that you claim America hasn't caused to their villages, friends and families.

Saddam was a bad guy to be sure, but there are plenty of other bad guys in the world (like Musa Hilal for starters).

We would have all been lucky if he was taken out back in 1992.

Probably. We also would have been far more justified in doing so, and we wouldn't have further destabilized the country or fueled the hatred of people who are now terrorists.

"I think the corporate comepanies should all open up chains in Iraq" - ABM

Well THAT would make all the deaths worth it!

In fact, in Baghdad, near one of the Army bases by the airport, there is a Burger King for the soldiers to get their Whoppers and fries.
