Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 9:23 AM Edited Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 9:25 AM I would also like a computer in that studio. I need to have a microwave to steam my broccoli. You can get a decent microwave pretty much anywhere for $40, so I don't consider that an extravagance. I can live on steamed broccoli with olive oil for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Edit: Speaking of bridges, I was stuck on the Peace Bridge for two hours on Sunday and the Blue Water Bridge for three hours later that night. —pookie |

Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 10:45 AM I'm getting a frickin' Nexus pass, but it takes a couple months for it to go through. I have to go back to Bflo again next week. I'm contemplating going through Ohio and PA cuz the bridges are totally nasty these days. It used to take me only 4 hours to get to Bflo, but lately it's 6 or 7 cuz of bridge congestion. My Dutch friend had to pee while we were stuck on the Peace Bridge and she was ready to unbuckle and run down the bridge to the Customs office to use their bathroom. —pookie |

Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 12:37 PM I appreciate the efficiency of my studio, and I like that. It has a nice view of the capitol building despite being "garden level." But, I don't know. I just feel lonely in it. Though I did have sex in it last night. That was fun. —ZT Spice |

Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 5:31 PM Edited Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 5:32 PM It's usually 7 hours taking the American route vs. 4 taking the Canadian route, but the last couple of times it's been 6 - 7 through Canada because of bridge congestion. I just applied for Nexus to get through a bit more quickly, but that'll take a couple of months to process. I've been taking the Canadian route for 25 years, so maybe I'm ready for a change of scenery. All things being equal, if both routes take 7 hours or so, at least on the American Route, you're not sitting on a bridge, unable to move for hours and you can pull over and do stuff anytime you want. Plus, I always say really retarded things at customs that I'm quite certain will one day get me arrested. —pookie |

Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 6:17 PM I took 80% of the Canadian route at night after a tour of UM so I didn't see most of it. It probably took me about 6 hours driving. I'd like to do it again, but I think we'll be out of here before we get the chance. Plus, I always say really retarded things at customs that I'm quite certain will one day get me arrested. I crossed w/o a passport about a year ago--completely forgot that I had crossed at Niagara 8 weeks before, didn't know where the friend I was visiting in Canada lived, couldn't find my return ticket, didn't know where my in-laws who were picking me up on the American side lived--I was still let in on both sides. God bless homeland security. —bguirk |
