I admit tto moaning about Dave in the early days but by the end of the year the show was settled and continually improving and much better than the trainwreck we now get with that cancer throated midget - Danny - well Danny's Danny! is the best that you can say about him
He does not have interesting stories (except to himself and other short ginger fuk-ups!) - all he talks about his how he has done everything better and before everybody else - and how he has taken more drugs and had more meaningless and shallow (like himself) one night stands with women desperate enough to F the ginger midget because they themselves have such low opions of themselves that they are prepared to sleep with an 'E' list (at best) celeb because it makes them feel something.
The show this year is a shadow of last years - I get whatever podcasts come onto my ipod - but I no longer try to get full shows - I only get the 3 or 4 bits on the RSS feed.
I used to really miss it - Now I settle down daily to listen to Opie & Anthony live or if away from the computer ..... well I am still going through old lovelines (still in 2001) old O&A, Ron & Fez, Stern and of course 2006 vintage TACS! and the often skipped once cancer danny starts TACS 2007.
So I guess Danny has attracted a lot of new fans - but are they danny fans or Adam fans? - Whose show is it - the best Adam this year was the Adam on Stern.
The Aceman should move to satellite where he can talk without all the stupid FCC rules blunting his rapier like wit.

A lot of the fun of the show is weaseling your way around the rules, pushing the boundaries, and making fun of the principal. Satellite would take away all of that. There are also a lot of old ladies (for some reason not so many old men; maybe they're already dead) but there are lots of old ladies with dementia who get to be too much trouble for their group / nursing home so they call an ambulance out and send them (enough pronouns?) to the ER. It's very sad (but almost as creepy) to talk with them (they're usually confused, frustrated and have a weird combination of that emotionless / blunted affect along with anger and frustration). There's only one of Dawson's lead ins that doesn't suck and I can't remember which one it is. I keep missing a few days or a week because I have to go to a conference and then I have to hammer through a bunch to catch up. The only things I'm really bothered by (and that I end up deleting) are Lynn and Alex, Prisoner David, What Can't Adam Complain about and (of course) the wrap up (which I should probably start listening to because it always comes as a surprise to me when they go on vacation and they play nothing but best ofs). —anobody |
