He also made a joke about 90% of the audience being comprised of "angry lesbians" -- This is the infamous line that Conan pussed-out on and allegedly used as the reason for banning him from the show. Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 6:22 PM Hmm... I love Adam. I also love Conan. No one here knows if Conan really banned him. Not even Adam. Only the people that work on the show do. Adam did a bad show. It happens to every entertainer. If Conan did ban Adam, I probably wouldn't blame him. If you had your own show and you had a guest on and he totally sucked, wouldn't you think twice about having him back on? That's not to say Adam isn't talented. Anyone who listens knows he is. Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 4:03 PM I think it's somewhere in that Smigel/Triumph show, Adam mentions that after he bombed, and then was supposed to go on with Jimmy or Drew, and that Conan (or his people) told him they no longer did 'two-fer' guests, no pairs or couples. They offered that as the reason they were freezing him out. And then shortly after that, Conan had some couple on, Penn & Teller maybe. Point is, they pussed out by lying to Adam. Sure, he bombed when he was on, but don't lie to him about why you're not having him on again. —Ed Thunderbear |
