It was just an extremist knee jerk reaction that didn't take a shred of common sense into account. How stupid do your members of parliament have to be to enact a law that prevents even olympic shooters from practicing? How stupid do you have to be to take years and years to figure that out? Shit, even China isn't so stupid to not let their olympic shooting athletes practice. This is the behavior of a closed minded, brain dead, tyrannical government plain and simple. LOL, friggin' China has more common sense than you people in the U.K. for god's sake. You can HAVE it, it's ALL yours.

It's a stance that is unrelated - Really we brits dont care about a gun ban we have no need of the murderous machines you so love only the criminal classes want them - We like that fact because our prisons are full so the more they shoot each other the happier we are.
The reasons the goverment sucks are many - but can be summed up in with a few examples - prisons full of people who avoid paying taxes etc to the goverment - peadophiles set free - The UK Goverment is a nanny state who want stop us driving our cars, worry more about speeding drivers than murderers and generally only want as much tax as they can rape from us.

gunboy please try to approach these things with a neutral state then you wont blindly keep pushing the pro-gun line without thinking.
We have 1/4 less homacides per year based upon population as mentioned elsewhere - why would we want to at a stroke make this already shitty country worse by putting guns in the hands of those who would kill.
No body in the UK needs a gun - the crims and police on the whole fight amongst themselves and leave the public alone.
No body gives a shit about our olympic shooting team apart from the very few people who indulge in this minority sport.
Please dont keep arguing with me until you can find a respectable nuetral body who have done a survey in the UK that show we wish to be armed.
