Hello, I'm briefly back. Since the death of LL, I haven't spent much time here, but I still feel you guys are my e-friends.

So, at the risk of being flamed for being off topic, or selfish, or boring, or ..., I'll tell you guys the big news in my life: I'm going to be a Dad. Yes Robin is going to lay an egg. (Or has? Wait, are we talking about birds?)

So does this mean that Robin has to become Nightwing and we get a new Robin? I'm not sure how a kid fits into the storyline. Maybe an alternate universe! Yeah, thats the ticket!

Also, MY Dad is in jail. Good times.

He got his second DUI in 3 years. Sucks for him especially because he worked as a truck driver. Sucks for my Mom, as she can't work (Due to M.S.). Sucks for me, cause I'm reminded my Dad is an alcoholic. Guess there is a reason I don't drink. I don't think either my wife or I have the gene, but I still wonder if it can skip a generation and our kid is gonna be cursed.

Anyhow, lots to muse over this new year. Mozeltov!

Holy Childbirth, Batman!

Congratulations, you crazy kids. Raise it by Loveline principles and do us all proud.

As for your dad - just, please don't be like him. I know you won't. Full speed ahead, and damn the torpedoes!

Congrats from me, as well.

The alcoholic gene CAN skip a generation, but (as far as I know) doesn't necessarily HAVE to.

Alcoholism is 80% a choice, 20% hereditary.

There, I said it.

Anfernee, you're only saying that so you can blame your parents even more for being the drunken assholes that they are. Yes, they choose their path but if you looked at their family tree, I bet most of your older relatives are drunken assholes too. It's okay, you can break the cycle. Oh wait, you're almost already a drunken asshole, too late.

Dusty, I like Anfernee, you don't, this is where we split in the road.

Did Batman just say he got Robin preggers? Wouldn't it be funny if the baby was black? Is it just me?

Congratulations Batman! On the egg thing, of course, not the dad-in-the-slammer thing. DETAILS!

Yeah! How did she get pregnant? How does that whole thing work anyway? I really don't buy that the stork brings the baby because I think that we would see storks all of the time if that were true, but I don't think I've ever seen one.

<<"The alcoholic gene CAN skip a generation, but (as far as I know) doesn't necessarily HAVE to."

Not according to Drew. It doesn't "skip" a gen. If you didn't inherit it, then your risk is the same as the general population and so is your kid's risk assuming your mate does not have it.

Any more questions? Good, then tonight I'd like you all to read chapters 6 through 29 and outline them and include footnotes and write a 1000 word essay.

Details:

SEX... big boobs... eat ice cream.

or

Beer... Semi-truck... police man... slammer.

Depends on what you were asking about.

Dusty, this is where you butt in and say:

"I do like the guy, he may be a fart-knocker sometimes, but that's what life's all about isn't it? Fartin' around?"
