I say NBA. There have been much less drug/steroid scandals in the past 20 years in the NBA, excluding Len Bias (and he only got drafted, he wasn't actually in the league when he died).

Exactly what does image have to do with "athletic ability?" Your thoughts are all over the place. Organize.

Or just stop talking.

Stupid thread. They obviously both have pure athletic ability, which is why they're both getting paid millions a year to do it! And what are you talking about? NFL has almost no steroid/drug scandals (other than a player getting caught with weed), that's baseball, buddy.

I think it's more a difference in using fast vs slow twitch muscles and aerobic endurance vs bulk/sheer force.

Much as I dislike the foosball, I you could make a strong argument that it involves more strategy (though to me that just comes off as a lot of brief bursts of activity surrounded by long gulfs of sitting around doing nothing).

HUGE understatement. They have to memorize so many plays it's insane, you don't even really think about it, plus you have to be on your toes and ready for any situation (fumble, interception, [suddenly the offense becomes the defense for a play] blocked punt, etc.)

Even though I've never bothered learning much about it and I find watching it painful, I actually rather enjoy playing football more than most other sports.

Is there any scientist that enjoys a normal sport?

I heard someone talk about this earlier in the week. Bloated Cancer, where did you hear this argument? Jim Rome? PTI? Where?

Well, lets see...

[looks around]

I like watching and playing basketball, I enjoy playing soccer, baseball and (as I just said) foosball, and I'm (arguably) a scientist, so I'd say... no. Absolutely not.

PTI?

PTI rocks. I love the jewish guy. He overtalks the black, the beaner, or whoever. It's funny, because he's wrong a lot.
He always pulls this:

"No he didn't you're wrong, It's time for a commercial, we'll be right back with Pardon the Interruption".
