Sunday, November 5, 2006 at 10:52 PM Call for Change -- It`s Too Close NOT to Call -- MoveOn.org Political Action This year, victory will come down to voter turnout. We've found the Democratic-leaning people who often don't vote in mid-term elections like this one. If we can just get these "unlikely voters" to vote, they'll provide a winning margin in a whole bunch of races. Over 30 races are in a dead heat – margins of a few thousand or few hundred votes. We've tested these calls, and we know they work – the people we talk to are much more likely to turn out. Your calls could tip the balance – but we're in a daily struggle to make sure we're reaching more voters than the Republicans' infamous turnout program. Can you help? —Elvis-In-ZT |

Sunday, November 5, 2006 at 11:40 PM I masturbate to Deval Patrick commercials. I shook his hand once and it melted. He's that hot. For cereal. I wish I could vote in Massachusetts. I love Deval so much, but I can't even vote for him. Still, I like to think that I single-handedly won him this upcoming election. —mandeemoo22 |

Monday, November 6, 2006 at 11:39 PM I used to sell knives and I would have to cold call people and try to convince them to let me come over and show them the knives. I would be killer at this, if I cared enough about who is going to win the elections to actually volunteer. —drakeguy19 |

Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 8:39 AM While I agree with Dusty, there is at least a chance that you're playing into the Republican's hand by calling. I know how receptive I am to any sort of unsoliciited phone calls and email SPAM; I'd imagine that if I hadn't voted and wasn't planning on it and then I got a call from somebody saying they're supporting the Republicans, I might be motivated to go to the polls just out of spite. ... of course, that's a moot issue in my case because I voted by mail a couple of weeks ago so that my ballot could be more easily discarded.
