Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 7:48 PM When he would fill in over the years, I would actually be relieved they called him in if we were going to be deprived of Adam, because I came to hate the guests, most of whom had nooooooooooooooooooooooooo sense of humor (and not just the bands). Stryker actually says stuff that NEEDS to be asked, and has a voice/attitude that conveys that he doesn't fear offending anyone and isn't our parent like drew (who yes is informative, but balance is needed). Stryker is like adam without the hilarious anger that Adam rages with (even though Adam is irreplacable and impossible to improve upon). Mostly I'd be relieved that dr ambien wasn't by himself with a boring guest. Ironically, drew ALONE was kinda cool, but when a guest was there, Drew became like a goddamn news anchor/interviewer. Looking back, I'm not surprised they went with Stryker because experiments like bonaDOUCHEbag proved that they needed someone who was A. actually funny, (with a decent voice), and B. knew and loved the medium of radio as a comedic tool. —striker |

Friday, October 6, 2006 at 2:42 AM Edited Friday, October 6, 2006 at 2:46 AM The people who OWN the show agree with ME though. So as far as his "lack of wit and any semblance of a sense of humor," that is clearly What makes me laugh, is that over MONTHS of mostly awful guest hosts, and a zillion threads here, I don't remember ANYONE predicting that STRYKER would get the job. By the way, you're jealous because stryker is just a regular guy who got one hell of a job. A regular guy who beat out celebrities. Celebs such as shit voiced bonaDOUCHEbag (drew's clear favorite). MY pick would have been DAG, but he's probably not available. —striker |

A regular guy who beat out celebrities. Celebs such as shit voiced bonaDOUCHEbag (drew's clear favorite). There have been some stupid posts here over the years, but this takes the cake. Exactly two people in the history of the forum who gunned for Adam's old job so the jealousy thing doesn't ring true and Drew loves Joel not danny. I don't remember ANYONE predicting that STRYKER would get the job. This is because no one could imagine a universe where someone who is clearly the worst candidate for a job gets said job. It seems un-American, but I guess all I have to do is look at our president and see that's not the case. —bguirk |

Friday, October 6, 2006 at 3:51 PM I thought Stryker sucked in the 90's, long before there was even an idea that he might ever get to host the show on a permanent basis. Also, just because the powers-that-be think he's the right choice(more likely the cheap choice), doesn't mean it's right. These are the same type of people who thought Joe Rogan would be a great replacement on The Man Show, or the Coy and Vance were great replacements for Bo and Luke Duke. —Mayonnaise |

Friday, October 6, 2006 at 4:21 PM The one thing I will say for Stryker is he identifies with the kiddies regarding relationship difficulties. Drew doesn't know what it's like to start a relationship and then break up at 16, he fell in love with the first girl who gave it up to him and was with her for 6 YEARS. Also what's wrong with being a regular guy, Poorman sold books on the streets of LA before getting hired at KROQ, so there is something to be said for being a "regular guy". I don't think Stryker is as good as Adam or DAG, but he's a lot better than Bonadouchenozzle. —drakeguy19 |

Friday, October 6, 2006 at 5:52 PM Like we've stated for the past months, Stryker's like that aggravating asshole morning DJ that Adam always used to talk about. He's basically like a fuckin' Ace Rockolla. He sucks up WAY too much to guests. He always calls the guest band the "greatest band out there right now" or whatever...so all in all, he's a chode... —Sassafras Roots |

Friday, October 6, 2006 at 7:57 PM He's a regular guy when compared to Dr. Drew. So is just about everyone here. In fact, it's probably a safe bet that just about everybody any of us knows, so that's not exactly a great distinction.

Sunday, October 8, 2006 at 12:34 AM It's telling that Stryker has had his show for so many years but hasn't managed to bring it into syndication (or do much with it at all, as far as I understand). Sure, the music and program directors put a lot of constraints on what you can do and say, but I've gotta believe that if he really wanted to (and had the aptitude), he could work within those constraints and branch out into something more substantial. Especially considering the market he's in. —anobody |

Monday, October 9, 2006 at 12:44 AM The same douche bags that own the show who agree with you striker are the same people that kept drew and adam at a shitty studio and had tried to stiff Adam in pay differential when it was obvious on who helped make the show a national syndicated show. I honestly think they were lazy and they knew stryker could handle the phones. He has nothing to add to the show or balance it out. It sounds more like a show designed to entertain 11 year olds. It's not the subject material but more the delivery.
