What do you guys think about feminism and the men's movement

What do you people think about gender issues? Personally I think they're a bunch of crap on both ends.

There is no difference between men and women. None. Only Christopher Walken stands out.

Both sides need to shut up and order ZT a pizza.

If you're interested in feminism, sexual politics, etc. you should head over to this thread and check out Chuck Palahniuk's story "Speaking Bitterness." So far nobody seems to have really picked up on what it's about, but you could be the first.

Hey, I have a finely tuned condescencion detector, and that was not condescending. But if it makes you feel better to think so, then go ahead! :)

(Now see, that was condescending.)

Well, if you include yourself among those who haven't figured it out, then it's not condescending. If you don't (which was my assumption), then yeah, it does come across that way.

Maybe a little. The out is the "seems to," which gives people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they got it, but didn't feel like talking about it. That's ok. We all deal with these things differently. When they're done with their rape-showers, maybe they'll be ready to share.

Seriously, I am open to different interpretations, but nobody seems interested in actually discussing the story. Which is fine, I guess. I'm just in a bad mood. I don't know! I saved! I thought that meant something to you!

When the crazy people take over political causes, we all lose.

Think, find good ansers, and be moderate.

Feminism says that there is a patriarchy in this country that rules women and weaker men.

The men's movement believes that unjust laws have been implemented because of feminism that are hurting the American male in unjust ways.

I say white men, especially old white men, run this country and if they're being marginalized in our society, it's because of white women. Neither of these movements could give a damn about minorities and gays. So both need to shut up and be thankful for what they have.

feminism = far too extreme - "all heteresexual sex is rape," and beliefs like that

male movement= well the only men's movement i can think of is men advocating for custody rule changes and perhaps changes in divorce rules, and I don't much but perhaps that may need some rebalancing

No the 'men's movement' is a bunch of faggy whiners who don't know what it "means to be a man anymore."

I'll break it down. Here's how you can be a real man - get a job, don't cheat on your wife, take care of your family, keep your daughters of the pole and sons off parole. Case closed.

That makes you sound smug and blowhardy.

I'm just sayin'.

While that's a good simple starting point,Being a real(I'm not so sure about the use of the word real though it's grounded in a certain truth) man(or woman) is probably more complicated than that if you go beyond the surface and probably involves being well-rounded and fully integrated and capable of toughness and sensitivity and other qualities at the appropriate time.

Moreover,If you have emotional problems its not gonna be nearly so easy to follow your advice.
