Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 1:45 PM Craig Ferguson, SO bad, SO unfunny...but I'll still watch. Thanks for the heads-up. Drew was on MSNBC (Tucker Carlson's show) yesterday, saying we should leave Mel Gibson alone, because people say and do outrageous things while drunk. He said he's not an anti-semite for what he said when pulled over. Usually I agree strongly with Dr. Punch The Mic, but not this time. He said pretty much anything at all is possible while drunk. So, you can start speaking in Mandarin Chinese, or reciting Shakespeare, or other things you have no prior experience with, but how can that be? Things don't come from nowhere. There has to be some basis within. So, I'd say that's the problem with cutting Mel the Jew Hater a free pass. Those thoughts were shaken loose when he was drunk, pulled over, and very angry. Assuming he doesn't speak Chinese - does Drew expect us to believe that could have happened, just as randomly as did his anti-semitic rant? No way, the anti-semitic stuff was stored in his head.... —Ed Thunderbear |

Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 1:59 PM Great point. Mel doesn't deserve to be exonerated at all. And I can't stand Craig Ferguson, either, but I'm still gonna watch--if I can remember, that is. —superSKAnick |

Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 9:46 PM Watched Ferguson last night, mandeemoo, just to see how he did with the Mel Gibson jokes. And he's NOT FUNNY. If he's reading his writers' jokes, then okay, his writers aren't funny. Kilborn kicked ass on that show. Ace was funny in his tryout shows. So was Michael Ian Black. Ferguson, he's stinkin' up the joint. —Ed Thunderbear |

Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 10:21 PM Watched Ferguson last night, mandeemoo, just to see how he did with the Mel Gibson jokes. Most of his monologues have nothing to do with current events and that's why I like him. By 12:30 we've already heard it on the Daily Show and Letterman/Leno anyway. —bguirk |

Monday, August 7, 2006 at 8:59 PM As I recall, the hosts they tried were The AceMan Michael Ian Black Darryl 'Chill' Mitchell I don't even remember Craig Ferguson. I've not seen M.I.B.'s shows available anywhere. This was before he did Stella, I think. As I remember, he was solid, as he always is. He was great on the show 'Ed' also. —Ed Thunderbear |

Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 4:14 PM Edited Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 4:14 PM Yeah he was, I think Ed Thunderbear is confusing Hughley him with Daryl 'Chill' Mitchell. Mitchell's the black guy in a wheelchair that was also on Ed. Not to be confused with Harold Perrineau who played a guy in a wheelchair on Oz but can actually walk as seen on Lost. —Beat It! |
