Because, with Loveline falling apart and TACS on its way down, the last thing we need is fighting among the ranks. KEEP IT TOGETHER SOLDIER. ITT*, we post nice things about fellow forum members. Now, don't feel bad if you get left out. It doesn't mean you're not a great person, it just means a) you're too new to have made much of an impression, b) you're too quiet to have made much of an impression, c) everyone hates you and you should kill yourself to become AN HERO.
* Means "in this thread." Yeah. Pretty obvious now, isn't it?
rAnCIDsICk@!!! - Rancid is what Adam would call "salt of the earth." He's a simple, genuine, pleasant guy with a zest for life. I like that. He also has a decent band. This guy isn't exactly headed for the White House, but he is where he is and he's happy there. That's some awesome stuff.
mikeyfish - Mike is consistently concise and funny. TLC would be a much poorer place without posters like him. lol jews.
andrewwagner777 - NOTHING gets this guy down. He reminds me of Johnny Cash a little, in that way. He just charges forward with an optomistic spirit and never seems to be offended or set back. I envy that attitude, a lot.
smaller hands - Spunky. Smart. She has it together, in a weird way. She is dramatic without being a drama queen. That's pretty cool.
Dark Laith - Laith is 100% genuine, and one of the smartest people I've ever (not yet) met. Nothing escapes him. Literally. He's watching you masturbate right now.
ADD YOUR OWN. And by "your own," I mean, "your own assessments of fellow forum members whom you admire."
Anobody and Rancidsick garner my props for calling Dr Drew and the show's handlers to get them forward. The female members of this forum have my respect for being mostly non-blowhardy and making things tolerable in general. The dudes are the ones with the most piss and vinegar. And I can't survive on piss and vinegar alone.
I can honestly say that I enjoy everyone here. Everyone here adds their own special touch to make this place funny, intelligent, and friendly. I can't say a bad thing about anyone. I only hope that TLC endures and outlives any show cancellations.

I was going to make a seperate post for everyone here, but I'm going on 24+ hours without sleep, and the creative juices ain't exactly flowing. You're all a-OK in my book, I enjoy this site more than just about any other. Except for a few of you. But this is the positivity thread, so I won't name names. You know who you are!

His posts literally literally make me fall out of my chair from laughing. Whenever he posts something, it always brightens my day a little.
- I miss him (here has JJ been, anyway?).
Dusty - one of my favorite posters; funny; self-depricating; always makes me laugh
smaller hands - I agree with TF spunky and funny
Lefty - haven't seen him around in awhile but miss him and always enjoyed his posts and his animated gifs
Dark Laith - cool / funny guy
andrewwagner777 - strong opinions but willing to debate and not overly set in his ways; even though I don't agree with much of what he says, we could talk for hours about our differences and remain civil
mikeyfish - great with the one-liners; knows more about movies than anyone I know; also has more pseudonyms than any other poster
rAnCIDsICk - I agree with TF, again
plurry - I agree with Dusty
ABM - a lot smarter than she makes herself appear (a bit of a criminal mastermind there, if that's a good thing)
catloaf - totally agree with what Dusty said, very kindhearted and genuine yet always able to make me laugh; one of the posters I respect and admire most
mandeemoo22 - genuinely cares about people and the environment and willing to work to help both; her drunk posts always make me laugh
pookie - warm, caring, friendly (and somehow I really like the image of her as an Italian mother trying to feed everyone)
Theo - cared about the show enough to make some decent songs for it; willing to go a long way to entertain and for attention; got a lot more flack around here than he deserved
NYBret - cool guy; already working in radio and seems like he's going somewhere
Laxdude - thoughtful / knowledgeable
Kevin U - like plurry, has done a lot for the community with the hub / everything; greatly appreciate the time and effort
Stryker311 - funny kid; willing to take chances
ZT - motivated; great with web programming
Small-Dorked Fish - funny; took a big risk by flying to LA and going to KROQ on Adam's last night - and got to hang out / have pie in studio
Mahalo - smart and knowledgeable; makes me think 'nui loa' when I see his name
Had To Get It On - funny, knowledgeable, very generous at improv (I think)
Spanglemaker - funny, kind, generous
shitlick - um.... um... he knows a lot about guns?
Ac3 - not a bad musician; benign and friendly
AceIsAce - funny / witty; I like his sense of humor and agree with a lot of what he says
chix0r - sometimes a bit blunt / slightly abrasive but genuine and intelligent
greymatters - one of my favorite posters; s/he makes me laugh
ProfessorCarbuncle - intelligent; informed; I agree with much of what he says; plus, he's a professor
MajandraFan - funny Aussie with and interesting / unique writing style
The Guy In a Chair - one of my favorite posters; quick witted; funny; intelligent and more insightful than a lot of people twice his age
and last but not least, TortillaFactory - knowledgeable / interested in psychology; fanfic writer; solid poster
Oh I don't know I either know people because they piss me of or I know them because they say nice things about me (that's very rare). Probably anybody and Spangie are my favs because ano seems like a guy I could hang with and have some decent conversations and spangie because I bet she is dead cute probably wayyy to young for me and I too old for her but she would play me anyway and I like the dumb ass I am would really believe I had a chance just before she puts the bullet in me. TortF and majfan seem to go from my good books to my bad with each post. I hate the fucking owls, I hate the dumb posting of scientology (ZT), other posts kick me into action but really this site rocks and the people are all worth at least a minute of my time.
I'll start with this quote from one of my favorite members since it pretty much sums up my overall feeling:
I can honestly say that I enjoy everyone here. Everyone here adds their own special touch to make this place funny, intelligent, and friendly. I can't say a bad thing about anyone. I only hope that TLC endures and outlives any show cancellations. — pookie
There’s a reason that this is the only message board I post on. On to the compliments:
Dusty - ditto what you said and proves the adage that great minds think alike (it's just a matter of which of us posts the thought first); plus he likes boobs, how can you not appreciate that?
Plurry - subversive, sarcastic, intelligent and cool; also has a tendency to look out for everyone and seems like the proverbial 'shirt off his back' guy; much respect.
Smaller Hands - Huge upside for a young girl; smart, funny and self-deprecating.
Dark Laith - Dark, angry, fiercely smart, wants to destroy the human race and one of the best all around people here. I expect great things.
chix0r - Humor drier than the Sahara. I respect that she seems to be 100% true to herself and she lays the smackdown on the tards like no other.
Catloaf - Pure and simple: she fucking rocks.
Mandee - Growing up right before our eyes, probably evolved the most since I started posting here.
Mikeyfish - Doesn't get enough credit for being the most consistently funny poster and I bow down before his encyclopedic knowledge of movies.
Perhaps I've been too sheltered, but I've always wondered exactly is the etiquette for a proper circle jerk: do you jerk yourself or the person next to you?
And this is a two-part question, the follow up being: um, why (this is for either answer)?
I don't know many people because I only post during the summer. When the school year starts I don't have time for much of anything but most of you are really nice and (most of the time) ignore when I make a stupid spelling error (which I seem to do on a daily basic).
Catloaf remembered Batman's and my anniversary last year. Really awesome.
Dark Laith has a way of lightening up a heavy mood on a thread that has gone too far.
Dusty and I seem to agree on many things.
Kevin U and TortillaFactory asked Batman about me while on DC++.
You guys are really cool. It's nice to come to the Forum after spending a whole day with my boss who can be a real ------- at times.
Not sure what "solid poster" really means, but it sounds good. Psychology is a hobby of mine, thanks to Adam + Drew, and I like to think I retained a fair amount of what I've learned.
TF - emotionally forthright and genuine, without being over-dramatic about it (usually)
I knew Dusty would work in a dig about my departure. Poor guy was all shook up.
TF- Always has words of wisdom and tells it like it is.
Not sure what "solid poster" really means, but it sounds good
In my mind, it means that you make a significant contribution to the discussion - that you're a good forum citizen, so to speak... and it sounds really good.
Now this is what I'm talking about, Great idea for a forum. Way to turn things around, Tort. Chix, thanks for the link to Ace. Ace, thanks for the comments, you make me blush. Ano, you are the wind beneath my wings, and to every other regular poster, Mahalo, thanks for putting up with my rantings. Respect,
ZT - Intelligent mixed with insane, resulting in a kooky, enigmatic mental hodgepodge.
Dusty TheHick - Tart and honest, the kind of guy who laughs merrily at naive hopes and then tells people how it's REALLY gonna be.
Beat It! - Smart guy, and perhaps more importantly, sane. Really, bizzarely sane. Certainly one of the few truly level-headed ones here at the forums.
TortillaFactory - Intelligent, interesting interests, and cuter-looking than she thinks she is. She seems like a very caring person as well. Also the James Bond fan to end all James Bond fans.
smaller hands - Seems sweet and nice on the outside, but there's something grinning and impishly devious that lies beneath. Sort of like politicians. Or serial killers. Or women. Okay, that didn't come out right. >_>
Robots Rule - All guys love a girl with a crude sense of humor!
mikeyfish - Yeah, yeah, by now we all know "the world is your oyster, that's all it is, etc etc." But the intarnets are, in the strongest terms, truly mikeyfish's oyster.
ManjandraFan - Similar general formula as ZT, but the insanity is less about typing dirty words in all caps and more about going on bizzare, lengthy, non-sequitur diatribes. His mind must be a fascinating one to exist in.
greymatters - I'm still convinced she's a chick, and a sociopath at that. Yes, that is very much a compliment. I could see her and I back to back, guns in our hands, completely surrounded, and we not only win but we also make a huge screaming bloody mess in the process just for the hell of it.
anobody - This guy seems to have what I would call 'ambition for knowledge'. I kind of have this thing myself. I've seen him comment on everything on this site from scientific articles to discussions about disastrous relationships to lengthy, scroll-button-breaking political debates; he seems as though he makes it a point to know everything about anything. Such determination is to be admired.
mandeemoo22 - Very compassionate, and a good sense of humor. And I could totally see Bob Saget sweeping her off her feet and whisking her away to a life she's never even dreamed of.
Mark 5 Verse 9 - (I can see what you're thinking RIGHT NOW. "Oh my god, is he really going to complement M5V9?!? Will he do it, will he?!??! HOLY CRAP HE'S GONNA DO IT, HE'S REALLY GONNA DO IT!!!!!") Legion doesn't seem to be around right now but I noticed from a few of his more recent posts that he is actually capable of being quite civil and even amiable. I think he COULD be a better person than previously thought.
chix0r - Very smart, the grown-up child-progidy kind. She also appears to be the only person here that ManjandraFan doesn't despise, and if that's not an impressive accomplishment I don't know what is.
andrewwagner777 - The kind of kid that's "going places".
Robin - The phrase that jumps to mind is "youthfully maternal". Like, she's nice and motherly and seems experienced at life, but not in a worn-down kind of way. She makes me think of summer camp counselors or something.
rAnCIDsICk@!!! - One of those guys that you can describe by saying that they "love life". He knows a lot about relationships, and strikes me as the kind of person who has good taste in porn.
Dark Laith - Very astute. Seems like an honest, REAL kind of person. We could hang, I think. By the way, are you still in college? What are you studying?
Tortilla Factory - Much the same as Laith. I really appreciate people who don't try so goddam hard to be the center of attention. You are the kind of person I would want for a friend.
Dusty - Your posts always seem to make me smile. Also, this might be entirely subjective on my part, but you seem like the kind of guy I would want to rebuild my Holly carb, if I had one that needed it.
Pookie and Catloaf - It's so great to know there are other happily married folks here. Makes me feel a little less odd.
Chix0r - Thanks for leaving my wife alone about her grammar. It's bad enough she has me to give her a hard time about it in real life.
Robin - She continues to put up with me. Need I say more?
I'm still convinced she's a chick, and a sociopath at that. Yes, that is very much a compliment. I could see her and I back to back, guns in our hands, completely surrounded, and we not only win but we also make a huge screaming bloody mess in the process just for the hell of it.
I love you too. Let's go to dinner, and for dessert, let's go kill some people and eat ice cream out of their coelom.
I love you guys! You're such nerds, it's wonderful! Robin is wearing a denim vest and Batman's sandals are girly. They might not sound like compliments, but I swear, they are.
I have so many wonderful, colorful, supportive things to say to everyone on the board. To many to name, so for the sake of the circle jerk I'll say all are welcome to be in front of me, because I love you guys so much that I'd use both hands and fondle delicately and whoever is behind me in the circle jerk I promise not to be critical on your technique.
This forum is really what I get on the net for. I'm here for the diatribe and porn.
plurry- The greatest person that has ever lived. Taught me that success is not measured by wealth or power, but by character. He's definitly the real thing.
Tell me what we got, tell me it's a lot tell me it's the real thing Tell me not to change and always be the same, tell me that's a good thing It's a good thing Tell me not to lie, tell me not to wait Tell me that you want the same things as me Tell me that it's fate driving me insane Tell me it's the real thing That keeps me hangin on
I can read the signs between us I feel it inside when you come nearer There's a stillness in the air like no one else is there And every moment stays in the moment
Not sure what "solid poster" really means, but it sounds good.
It's what jjgold calls members he likes. For a more inclusive list of jjgoldisms, see mandeemoo's profile.
TF - emotionally forthright and genuine, without being over-dramatic about it (usually)
-El hicko con dusto
I knew Dusty would work in a dig about my departure. Poor guy was all shook up.
-That place where they make sheets of cornmeal
Actually, I included that as a preemptive strike against all the anticipated "Are you HIGH" posts, from folks who'd thought I'd simply forgotten. Trust me; if it'd bothered me THAT much, I'd have been on you about it the INSTANT you returned. I don't waste time when I have a bone to pick. lol
...you seem like the kind of guy I would want to rebuild my Holly carb, if I had one that needed it.
Actually, I included that as a preemptive strike against all the anticipated "Are you HIGH" posts, from folks who'd thought I'd simply forgotten.
But, see, you'd only think anyone would say that if you WERE upset, because nobody's going to say it because nobody's upset except you! HA! HA! PWNED!!!!!!!!!
No...I mean like the ones who would say "What about that time she stormed out of the forum because Theo wasn't getting his ass kissed enough?" ...and then they'd think I like Theo, see?
Distorted viewpoint ahoy! I left because of a lot of hostility on the forum, partially represented by the fact that Theo, who, unlike most of us, actually CONTRIBUTED something to the show, was being beaten like a redheaded stepchild.
Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 11:57 AM Edited Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 11:59 AM
Alright, now...Let's not rehash the whole situation. The important thing is that Theo is gone we've all been getting along really well in this thread. Time to get it back on track.
(and, for the record, I have this aversion to being accused of forgetfulness, which is what I was TRYING to say in my previous post)
EDIT: Theo "contributed" to Loveline in the same way the Black Plague contributed to Europe.
—Beat It!
Well said.
We now return to our regularly scheduled mass ass-kiss (which has actually been fun).
They played his song(s). They were fond of him and his devotion to the show. Any other interpretation is tainted by either a) jealousy or b) your own personal bias against Theo.
