Adam Carolla hangs up on Coulter
By: John Amato @ 4:09 PM - PDT
Emailer Al:

On yesterday’s Adam Carolla radio show, Ann Coulter called in to the show an hour and a half late, then told the host "I am really tight on time."Carolla responded, "All right, well get lost" and then hung up on her mid-sentence.

I have never, in my entire life, been more proud of Adam. Now that's good radio!

I'm surprised nobody posted this here. Stern Fan Network is more on top of what Adam is doing than TLC. So sad. This website will shutdown soon, unfortunately. TLC had a good run folks!

But Adam hanging up on that cunt was priceless.

Dude, Adam isn't on Loveline anymore. Or did no one tell you? Oh I'm sorry to break the news to you soon bluntly, but he left. I'm sorry. Yes, it will be hard for you I'm sure, but please stop your whining.

The bitch didn't apologize at all... if anything she sounded like she was blaming Adam for 'getting the wrong number'. Best part is after he did it, all the people in the room said something to the effect of "She totally deserves that; I love that about you; Did you seriously just hang up on her?"

More stuff like that and they'll have to ship Adam over to the Mid West.

i was really disappointed and surprised when adam said he was going to have her on cause she really seemed like the type Adam couldn't stand but it worked out great! It's about time someone shut her up. I hate that she got all that free press for her book from saying what she did.

Every time Adam manages to surface in a mainstream story I just get pissed off reading the comments about him. It seems that most can't get past "The Man Show" persona he played up, nor will they admit that "The Man Show" was well-done for what it was supposed to be. Sure, some of his TV ventures have fallen flat (and some deservedly so), but what is with all the "I never liked Adam until now" comments? Adam has been putting stupid callers in their place for years, you bandwagon liberals!

I know, especially as someone who was never a fan of The Man Show, it can be very tough explaining to others why I think Carolla's a genius. "You think that Man Show guy is a GENIUS?? Okay, buddy..." blah blah. Of course, before the left wing declares Adam a hero for this, they should understand that he would be just as prone to hanging up on a liberal that acted as rudely as Coulter did. In fact, Coulter probably would have had a semi-ally in Adam if she hadn't been such a prick.

Exactly. He said later after they demanded an apology that really, he agrees with most of her ideas, but if anyone acts like a cunt, they get dropped. Otherwise, I think we would see an alarming amount of guest-ass-kissing. I'm glad that disaster was averted.

Great moment for TACS, classic Adam. He treated her like some bitchy loveline caller and hung up on her ass. Hero! And her publicist demanding an apology is laughable. And imagine being Coulter's publicist, gotta be harder than publicist for big tobacco. Bravo, sir.

Would have been great too if Lisa Lampanelli could've got in on the action. Lisa seemed surprised that Adam hung up on her.

This is a wonderful moment for Adam. The righteous bitch needs more people shutting her down. She's an ugly human being in every sense of the word.

Now having said that I don't think she's entirely wrong with there being a large number of people using the tragedy of 9/11 for their benefit. Coasting off the sympathy of their "involvement" in any number of inexcusable ways or whoring out the deceased for attention and/or monetary gain.

Yeah but he comes off looking like some kind of liberal hero when he stated several times before her brief appearance that he agreed with most of the things she says. It had nothing to do with her politics, it was supposedly that she was rude. It was really bizzare, since it was not her fault she had the wrong phone number. If they thought she was rude, why in hell did they book her, she is obviously insane, what did they expect? I really don't understand why they are making such a big deal about it, they played the tape THREE times on Tuesday's show for no reason. And they have talked about it every day since it happened. Enough already!

If she has an internet connection, it should have taken about a minute to Google Adam's show and get the 866-Hey-Adam number (if she doesn't, her publicist, personal secretary, or somebody should have been able to do it for her in about the same amount of time).

I took the phone number thing as a bogus excuse and considering that she didn't apologize and just fixed the blame on a few other people, I think it was a reasonable thing to do.

I really don't understand why they are making such a big deal about it, they played the tape THREE times on Tuesday's show for no reason.

Hmmmmm.... could it be that the more airplay it gets, the more likely someone will hear it who's going to hear it and put it in an article, mention it on air in another TV/radio show, call in angry, etc.?

Free advertising is free advertising (hell, I've got friends and family who don't know about Adam or the show but they've heard of him hanging up on her).

It has nothing to do with politics (though Ann Coulter's fans and conservatives, in general, tend to be very emotional and reactionary and I can imagine that he could find a wellspring of the coveted pissed off listeners who hate him... and who listen more intently than the people who love him).
