Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 6:03 PM I must agree, Kat is VERY VERY VERY overrated and should have probably gone home. I will say however the reason for Chris's departure is that he got FAR too comfortable. Being touted as "the winner" from the get go, he kind of slid a bit...His performances were great, but not "special". I'll admit that he was miles better than Kat. Sorry ABM. —andrewwagner777 |

Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 7:32 PM Katherine is so fine. Though she was the weakest from the night before, I'm glad she's still around. At least one more week of seeing her - hopefully wearing something with loose buttons again. And really, winning would have been the worse thing for Chris, career-wise. His style of music doesn't jibe too well with the crap the Idol people would foist upon him. And rock radio would never, ever touch him if he won. He'll have an uphill climb as it is just making it this far, but I'd say he's still got a shot since he got booted since he stayed fairly true to his own style. If he sticks with his band and controls his own music I'd consider buying a CD, he's definitely talented. All four of them are equally deserving to win really. Different styles but not a Guarini in the bunch. —Beat It! |

I bet Katherine hates them all because they seem so creepy and she's this young, pretty girl. Im glad that Chris was voted off, he doesn't belong on Idol, his sound is too edgy for the show. This will give him a chance to be discoverd by a label that will let him and his band make a rock album, instead of going pop, then breaking away from it like Kelly Clarkson did. and greymatters you just like kat because she has huge boobs and she almost showed her cooch to America. She's talented, and pretty, but i just hate it when she doesn't take Simon's advice. She rolled her eyes at him. This might be a new record for an offer for a booted contestant on American Idol. Chris Daughtry was booted last night, and one day later he's got an offer from a major rock band to front their band. Extra has been advertising that they had the exclusive offer. Unfortunately the show is shown at 2am by my local station, but it's played earlier elsewhere so news of the "major band" offering for Chris has leaked. Yes folks, it seems that Fuel was majorly impressed by Chris' version of "Hemorrhage" at the beginning of his run on American Idol. Fuel bassist Jeff Abercrombie and guitarist Carl Bell talked to Extra about their offer, promising that Chris would never have to do another Elvis song. Shortly after his elimination, Chris talked about the offer, saying he didn't know who it was for sure, but he had an idea. He said that he would be debating whether to join a band or launch a solo career. Before taking any offer, he will be tied to American Idol until after the tour is over. In a USATODAY interview, he also mentioned that he had auditioned for Rock Star, but failed to get onto that show.
