I was hanging on to loveline because
1) I have been listening since I was 13 (I am 31 now)
2) I believe in the importance of loveline.
3) I figured that even though Adam is off doing his own thing, Drew could hold down the fort. He has had 11 years of the shows greatest success following Adams formula. You would think that he would have learned something.
But last night was the last straw for me. When they started talking to the guy who said his dead girlfriend was reincarnated as his dog... That's it. Drew has run the show into the ground.
I'm out! In the words of my good friend TortillaFactory, "WHERE THE HELL IS ADAM?"
So someone call me when they find a host that can reign in Dr. Drew. Then I MIGHT give the show another chance.

Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 10:20 AM No, I heard the entire call before and after the break. I did, however, turn off the radio after they finished talking to that dude. Mad About You was on Nick At Night and that was a suitable alternative.
But Darkie, you are missing my point. That was just the last straw. Drew cannot host this show. I gave it a chance. It's painful to listen to Drew try to be entertaining and/or funny. Because he is obviously trying and the more he trys, the worse it is. Yes, they called him out. Good Deal, but until they can get someone to "unfocus" Drew, this is not going to work. After all the praise he heaped on Seattle's defensive line, he's a Pittsburgh Steelers fan out of nowhere. It's one reason to miss Adam: he would've ripped Drew a new one for saying something like that. If you'll recall, though, Drew admitted once that he liked rooting for the juggernaut franchise as opposed to the underdog. But remember it was only Adam's fits (and kicking the thermostat off the wall with his Muck-Luck) that got anything done around there. Perhaps Adam was actually the only one left who was passionate about Loveline. Drew, Producer Ann, etc. they all talked the talk but did nothing. I wonder if some of us TLC peeps should start our own loveline. Its obvious that many of us still have or had (Janus) the loveline mojo. Since adam is too busy with his morning show to teach and entertain the next generation of sploozers and retards, perhaps the provlidge and responsibility should fall on someone else's shoulders.
