There are two things being conflated here. 1. Being underweight according to some chart and 2. actually being underweight, looking bad and being unhealthy. Kate Moss is the former. I don't see the problem.
How does saying "I like Kate Moss" come off as bad?
I'm making a subtle yet important distinction. That chart isn't a hard and fast rule. Are body types taken into account? What about two separate charts for men and women? Does a 20 for a male mean the same as a 20 for a female? Things are going over my head not because I'm too dumb, but because you're just making things up. What have I said that was contradictory? When have I taken something you said and reworded it? You said there was something bad about me saying Kate Moss is hot. Then I said she might be underweight according to a chart but that's her natural weight, so I don't see what's so bad about liking Kate Moss. Just because you said it's her natural weight too doesn't mean it's exactly what I said. I added on there is nothing wrong with liking her and there is nothing wrong with me saying she looks nice. You didn't do that. After I said "shes not to thin" you said that comes off bad. You can't accuse someone of something then when they try to clear up confusion say they are being defensive as if that's a terrible thing. If you can call me out on something without merit and without provocation then I should be able to straighten things out without having a pejorative "defensive" label tacked on.
I'll say it again: I don't like girls that are unhealthy and too thin for their body. If you still insist on calling Kate Moss underweight in the sense that she doesn't weight as much as some people think she should, yet she is still perfectly healthy, then I'm forced to say "I like underweight girls like Kate Moss". I'm not repeating what you're saying and I'm not contradicting myself. What we merely have done is modified the definition for the word "underweight". So I changed what I said accordingly. After I said you are harassing me you said I'm being defensive. I'm only describing what is actual. Many times I've made a post and you've quickly followed up with a smart ass quip. I do agree with you there, Stryker and Hash Adding my 1/50$, attractiveness and health aren't the same thing. I wouldn't say that Kate Moss is ugly but FWIW, she looks emaciated to me and doesn't exactly have much in the curves department. Feel free to disagree as that's just a matter of taste (and I don't really give a fuck). As far as health is concerned - this has come up before but, as far as I can tell, the BMI charts might not be exactly on the money and they don't take into account genetic variations (small vs big bones, if you will and athletic vs muscular vs fat builds) but they're a good first approximation. I don't understand how it works exactly but somehow in the US, people are fatter than most other countries, on average, *and* lots of people have a skewed view that unhealthily thin is healthy.
