Friday, March 10, 2006 at 5:33 PM Today on the Stern wrap up show, the producer mentioned that they are negotiating with Danny Bonaduce to do a radio show on Howard 100, presumably in the mid-day break between Stern and Bubba. Maybe this is why LL has not yet announced a new co-host; if LL are also negotiating with Danny, he'll only accept one offer —Jay84 |

Do you really want Bonaduce as a permanent co-host? He's famous for two things--being a giant fuckup and having a role on one of thw worst shows of the 70's that anyone remembers. Even if I gave him every benefit of the doubt I could only stand him once every three weeks. —bguirk |

Monday, March 13, 2006 at 12:57 PM Edited Monday, March 13, 2006 at 12:57 PM Well, I never heard of him before he was on the show, and I've not seen/heard/otherwise experienced him in any capacity outside of Loveline, so all that external stuff has no bearing on it for me. And I like how he does on Loveline. Plus I'm perfectly fine with his voice, which is apparently a big gripe people have with him. Don't get me wrong, there are a few better candidates, but on my list he's up there. —Dark Laith |

Monday, March 13, 2006 at 6:23 PM His voice has varied - the last time he was on it was much smoother. It probably depends on how screamy he was that day, and how manic (ie smoke happy) he was. I knew of his radio career before Loveline simply because he got a lot of press when he had a bridge jumper call up...from the bridge. It got him a lot of local publicity...despite not being on the Vancouver market (maybe he was on in Seattle...I have no idea). It was also mentioned in those "where are they now" type deals on child stars gone bad. His deal with Stern might not even preclude a Loveline gig. They might even think it would give him more to focus on and help him from self destructing. He seems to be able to hold it together after he has a major melt down...so he should be okay for a while. —Laxdude |
