Driving in LA?

Okay, so there's this friend of mine that had been in LA visiting family over the winter holidays, and she spoke of the drivers there as being very aggressive and crazy. Now, from all of Adam's complaints on Loveline, I was under the impression that everyone in LA was a big wuss and scared to move faster than 5 miles under the speed limit. Having not been to LA myself, I have no frame of reference to see which opinion is more accurate... so I'm asking you people! What do you all think LA drivers are like?

LA drivers are nuts! It's the damn outsiders that are slow.

The people who drive like Adam will only notice the slow people because he's one of the "crazy drivers". He's slowed down by the wuss drivers.

It was like this for me when I was driving truck paid by the hour, not by the mile. I can cruise 3-6 under the flow speed (aka 'the speed limit') and never be "in traffic" because everyone is passing me. It's actually quite nice.

I can concur with this in my personal driving. Before I was switched to hourly from salary I was Mr. Melow on the road--courteous, obeyed posted limits and all that jazz. Now it's like I'm Mad Max. People should really stay out of my way.

Adam complaining about driving in LA is quaint. He should go where everyone drives like him and experience the hell of millions of Adams. New York/Boston Highways would be a nice start. Puerto Rico is pretty bad too.

Colin is the guy driving on I-5 in the right hand slow lane, and bquirk is the guy who gets in the fast lane trying to pass Colin going 65 and i get stuck behind both of them, when all i really want is to go 90 in the fast lane...if that makes sense

Of course that makes sense.

Snape killed Dumbledore, too.

What does that mean, btw?

This is how you should drive with your friends, the buddy system.

I saw that on CNN, the Asian anchor interviewed 3 of the people from it. The Asian anchor was waaay too amazed by the film.

For some reason, I was extremely annoyed by the guy with the eyeliner in that video. But he has the same kind of cellphone as mine!

To answer Laith's question, I think most of those 'crazy and agressive' drivers are found on the freeways. But if you're on local streets, which are where the slow drivers are most likely to be found, I think the amount of 'wuss drivers' varies between cities.

People are afraid to merge on freeways in Los Angeles. -Less Than Zero

They need to know how to balance their volume, that shit spikes like crazy when inside
the car vs the lame interviews.

Makes a strong point though.
