We've come to understand what he MEANS, which one cannot pick up from one sitting. Also, what history of "making fun of asians?" He makes fun of stupid people, which tend to be OTHER races. I really can't think of anything in the last few years of Loveline that put down asians, to any degree. Shit, even the first day after I heard the quote I was a bit disappointed in this bit; for its humor, the controversy wasn't worth it, and I felt it was in bad taste.

However, anyone who uses their spare time, or professional time, to work for an organization like "The Los Angeles chapter of the Organization of Chinese Americans" or "The Korean American Coalition in Los Angeles" is just the same.

I didn't think the bit was that funny, but it wasn't particularly offensive -- or at least shouldn't have been. As it is, half the issue with racism right now is that there's a fear of dialogue. The current mindset suggests that to speak about race makes you a racist, which is retarded because it means that people keep their prejudices inside and let them fester rather than come out and be addressed. That's why all these hate groups exist, they feel justified by being silenced and villainized. Whines and political movements like this only increase that. And fuck. This wasn't even racist. It's obvious to me he's letting Dave take over the show because he's too distracted thinking about his glass of slightly chilled medicine at home. I think any Adam fan knows his only comfort zone was Loveline, he's pretty much exploded anywhere else. I don't know about you but The Man Show was awful, I watch back on some of the episodes on G4TV and they are truly pieces of shit. How did they convey that they were laughing at themselves? Was it Adam's betting jokes (i.e. no-one knows or cares that these awards exist) or the talk of the recipients being played off by the music (i.e. modern asians are a 2-bit replica of americans).
Adam could be joking when he says "asians are..." but how about that night when a dude called in about going red when he drinks and drew asked if he was asian and told the dude he has something called "asian flush" or something like that? Then adam went into his "no drew, that can't exist because we're all the same, we can't judge, everyone is exactly the same" bit. Was he pretending to say that asians are a separate group of humans or was he actually saying it?

There are so many people here whose parents were migrants from east asia, north or south. South asia too. (sidenote: they're here because of USA invasions, cute!) and none of them, not one, ever had a problem with drinking alcohol ever. No asian flush. Now they have to generate 3 hours of material a day. The show would be about 100% better if they just opened up the phones and let Adam riff on what the callers bring him, but no one else in the studio is good enough to deal with that.
