When Adam is at his best

Adam is at his best when he's talking to stupid people. That became apparent to me after watching his Comedy Central talk show. The smarter and funnier the guest, the more off-balance Adam became. He doesn't seem very good at give and take when he's on an equal footing with someone, he is much more at home when he's insulting what the other person says and riffing off of it in a condescending manner. The best example of his being off-balance that I saw was his interview with DAvid Cross, which seemed like kind of a train wreck (and which ended with Adam saying "David Cross everybody, smarter than I am.") Teh best example of Adam doing well when talking to stupid people was, of course, Loveline. He's still great on the ACS morning show, but I don't think it will ever achieve the magic of Loveline, which may have been the best radio show of all time, at least to my tastes. (I much preferred the LL episodes without guests.)

I much preferred the LL episodes without guests.

Right and remember how Drew sometimes did a whole show or parts of a show by himself, and I guess he has done that some since Adam left, but when Drew was gone there always had to be some other doctor there? I remember one time when Dr. Bruce or someone was late and Adam was alone on the air for one or two segments. Nothing wrong with that. The fewer people on with Adam the better. That is the problem with his new show, too many people talking.

I think Adam just needs a good cohost. On his Comedy Central show, he was by himself, he didn't really care, and he was just using bits hes used on loveline a thousand times. TACS's problem is he has a quazi group of cohosts and everything is planned out as bits. Every time he talks about red turn arrows, its preplanned.

Yes, it was always nice when there was no guest, or the guest cancelled, or even when the guest left at before the 11pm hour because they could not take another rape/incest/goat call.

Dave Dameshak is so bad, so awful. Although sometimes listenable, for the most part, Adam has become the evil that he ranted against for so long. I'd much rather hear his cellphone conversations with Drew, if those still happen.

It's also surprising that Adam didn't throw Anderson a bone and bring him along to the morning show.

Adam's show is good and getting better each day!
And please explain to me how Adam is "becoming the evil he ranted about"......
It's a MORNING drivetime show, it has to follow different perimeters then LoveLine!!

It's not fair to make a head-to-head comparison of the two shows!!!!

I say replace Dameshek with John DiMaggio who was the voice behind Bender on Futurama

Of course we have to compare the two shows. Loveline was not perfect- but it was high quality a lot of the time, and sometimes amazing.

The morning show is often unlistenable because we have to listen to a bunch of people laughing at eachother, even when nothing is funny. It's the morning zoo, and Adam knows it, which is why you can hear him cringing and thinking to himself "Man, I can't believe these tards i have to work with- well at least I'll be home by 11am for a nice beat off session, followed by lunch and then a nap, another session, walk the dog and the wife, count my money, and then some serious TiVo watching to gather new material."

For a dude who was laying carpet for $5 an hour a few years ago, that's pretty good, even if he sold his soul to the morning radio devil.

Interesting take, but you can't judge the guy based on that horrible Comedy Central show. There were many nights on Lovelines when Adam had the comics in the room cracking up. Patton Oswalt, DAG, Andy Dick, Kathy Griffin, Dave Attel....he had Rober Schimmel laughing so hard he couldn't even talk. Adam does well with smart funny people. His new morning show largely blows (although I enjoyed listening to him talk to Chuck Norris) and his Comedy Central show sucked. Let's up we get another TLC show so we can experience more good Adam.

CAROLLA!

And by the way why is he doing this radio show like nobody who ever listened to Loveline would be listening? I find him far too often repeating these bits and rants and complaints on the ACS like he did so many times on Loveline. It gets old after awihle, I must say. With Loveline, he was there EVERY NIGHT and he had a group of stupid people (NEW ONES) calling the show. With this it's just news, traffic, weather, etc. I wonder when the execs will call him on this.

I'm kinda suprised by his show. It's better than I thought. Rachael Perry is annoying and Sheck can be either hit or miss but hit's far more than he misses (although Seatle got robbed you prick). I would say that it's a good change of pace for morning radio. I would say Adam is at his best when he's letting into a topic, then changes and lets into a total tanget and forgets the original topic. Also the man-o-vations are always good.

I say yeah, sir.

i agree with macabu, damash*t blows. as much as i love adam, it's become unlistenable between dave and rachel mucking it up. adam is out of his element on the show. for one, he's not a morning person, and 2) his people suck.

i'd LOVE to hear his cellphone talks with drew too, and yeah the non-guests nights were some of the best.

but one thing - you think adam sits and watches tv gathering material? i don't... that would be work and preparation, which he doesn't do. adam is funnier than kimmel but kimmel's got the network gig because he works at it, and does his homework for the show. adam just shows up and is himself, and THAT'S the beauty of him.

Are you retarded ?
I used Babel Fish to translate your rambling and thus create the crap I posted in response......
do you really think I care if one of the words wasnt grammatically correct??

And BTW, what I wrote(Вы должны одеть в ваши губы мой очень большой пенис) roughly translates to "You must dress my very large penis into your lips"....that's HARDLY "talking shit"!

My mistake was giving you the attention you were so desperately looking for by responding to your russian posts....dont worry it wont happen again.
