Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 6:55 PM Well, I got damn all done at work yesterday morning - did everybody catch Friday's ACS show? First we learned that young Rachel Perry is in New York for fashion week and Adam's gonna have her report back on what the fashionistas and metrosexuals are up to ... and tho' nobody said anything, it looks to me like she's really the first ACS scout for the East Coast, now roaming loose in New York (I mean, New York Ciiity, y'all). So at least one aging, un-funny rock star and his producers might wanna get those resumes freshened up. Hah! But best of all, early on a caller mentioned hobo power and Ace just started running with it ... oh man, it was great improv from then on throughout the show, just like old times on the best days of Loveline, and LA drive-time radio will never be the same (if anybody out there was f*ckin' listening). It's a mitzvah for the rest of us because hobo power is back. It's back, i tell you! And how many of us really knew that HP 50 was scientifically determined to be a cat, fed on blue cheese for a week, defecating on a red-hot hibachi? Well, another caller claimed he'd smelled HP 90 but Adam set him straight right away. He confirmed what we all knew, that nobody's EVER smelled a plume that high and lived. Then a homicide detective called in, and after that a Sheriff's deputy called in with a story that got everybody gagging over their egg McMuffins. So is this great radio or what? Oh yeah, like you're gonna blow this off and tune into that Ranchero station! Now I heart Dr. Drew (almost) as much as the next person and have got way too many Loveline shows stored away, but you know Drew would've stopped Adam and gone to the phones. But we need that tension, and it's just not the same listening to Loveline without Adam or ACS without Dr. Drew. So shouldn't the two of them get together on-air as soon as / often as possible? Can we make this happen? Who here can use his or her influence to get this done? Somebody say WHY Dr. Drew can't get put on the payroll and beamed in to Adam's show every now and then? Like maybe two or three times a week, to do a daytime reprise of Loveline for an hour or so with the whole ACS crew standing by to chime in? Don't you want to hear night-time Loveline callers calling in while you're driving in to work? Could it get any better? So I say yea to merging Loveline and ACS for a few hours every week, and I say yea to hobo power 'cause it's back and it's a mitzvah ... who here says yea, or who says nay, but how say all of you? And whose leg do we have to hump to get Dr. Drew and Adam back together on the radio again?
