He is being out-annoyed by Dameshek, whose "Number 1 Sports" segment is using up roughly half the shows 4 hr slot. Carolla shuts up when Dameshek interrupts, and after some lame joke, even kisses ass by saying great job to Dave. Using a decibel-meter, it was proven that Dave was much louder than Adam, with a more dominant tone, which led to the suggestion to change the shows name. —Darwin'sBlade |

Yes, it's a four hour morning show, which means they need to have people other than Adam talk (gasp!) and they need to do bits and segments, which may or may not be universally enjoyed. But they have to plan things to do during the show other than Adam just talking for four hours, which would get old after about one week. —puck71 |

He's done his fair share on ripping his co-hosts, I don't think he's held back at all. I think the show is great and FUCK Mancow and what he thinks or says, he's a joke, a no-talent hack!!!!
Mancow is the guy who took out full page ads in newspapers to try and get Stern's job when he announced he was leaving terrestrial radio.....what a dick!!! I think Adam's new show is the best thing on morning radio.....and this coming from a lifelong Stern fan.....which BTW, Stern's new satellite radio show has not impressed me one bit! —babyivan |

He has been a friend and co-worker with Dave for a long time, so clearly he thinks he is really funny. Adam's a better commedian but as pointed already, Adam without others talking is as entertaining as his short lived Comedy Central show. He needs others to work off/with. His on air relationship with Dameshek is going to be different than his relationship with Drew. They're very different personalities. I preferred Drew as he was more of a compliment to Adam's style which is going to give him more material to work, as opposed to Dameshek who is more similar and as a result they'll split more punchlines. Now you've got a situation where you're still getting 100% "Adam style humor" however it's been distributed 70% by the Aceman and 30% by Dameshek, as opposed to the 98% v. 2% it was on LL. I do agree that with both Adam and Dave doing a similar style they need to make sure they don't step on each others' toes. Dave will need to keep working on getting the instinct to know when to shut up if Adam's about to work on a rant. Drew was often pretty good about that. —Unrep |

Dave takes too long to set up his LAME jokes, rambles on oand on, takes too many long pauses for effect, and then delivers the punchline, wich have I mentioned is LAME? Anybody else think his accent sounds too CONTRIVED, more like a GIMMICK than natural? When I hear it I feel like reaching through the radio and push his fucking mouth in. And what the fuck is up with Adam letting this happen? He puts down Rachel hard, but gives Dameshek a pass all the time. What a pussy Adam is becoming. —Darwin'sBlade |

Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 6:41 PM What exactly did Mancow say? it was a few days ago. he basically said how adam looks like an idiot now for making fun of morning DJs. how he keeps saying morning radio is all about weather, news, traffic, weather, news, traffic, ad infinitum to the point that he created a morning radio personality - ace rockolla - to make fun of the likes of mancow. then he said adam is a tool (he used a different word... can't remember) like his predecessor. mancow said something like DLR is man enough to take in charge of his own show (like not taking [scheduled] commercial breaks, not doing live reads, etc.) unlike adam and he made fun of adam failing to take charge of his show - twice! first example he gave was when he ranted about traffic news. how he said nobody listens to it, how he would like it to be taken off the show, etc. etc. etc. and then the news lady getting mad at adam blah blah blah and then what happened? nothing. the traffic report is still part of his show and adam even cues the traffic lady now. second example was the background music during the traffic report. how adam wanted it changed and the program (or musical?) director phoned in and told adam NOT to change the traffic report music and that he and adam are going to talk about it when he comes in that morning (or something like that). —j4k3 |

The traffic lady is from the local LA station... she's not even a part of Adam's show (like Rachel, Dave, etc). Second, the whole "traffic-and-weather" thing doesn't even make sense for Adam's show. He's in 10 cities; how's he (or anyone) going to give traffic & weather?? Each individual market runs their OWN traffic & weather report during pre-determined breaks on his show. Adam has never "cued the traffic lady." That's just bullshit. Finally, the music was permanently changed to the song Adam selected the day after he mentioned it on the air.
