Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 11:18 AM Edited Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 11:18 AM What did eleprechaun post? —Sassafras Roots A URL to a place that provides ACS and Loveline mp3s. Seems to have been deleted by now. See, Full Meat, this forum is watched from on high, even if at times it seems so laissez-faire that it appears completely unmonitored. —Dark Laith |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 1:31 PM We might need to put something in the suggestion box about changing the Post Message screen so it says something like "Do not post the URL of download sites for Lovelines and ACS. When in doubt, don't post it." —bguirk |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 2:34 PM Why is it ok for this site to post mp3's of best of clips, funny clips etc... but not ok to post the whole shows anywhere? Im not a lawer and dont know the laws verbatum on something like this but it just seems like if its broadcasted over "free" radio and even streamed on the internet on a lot of stations, it shouldnt matter if someone records it and posts it on their website, esp if theyre doing it free and not making any money from it. Anyone familiar with these laws feel free to spread some knowledge. —Ohio_Aceman |

Plus there are copyright issues to worry about. Loveline itself was never really a big worry, because no one who mattered seemed to care, but ACS being a morning show made something of a difference there. That's what I recall from previous discussions anyway. Maybe someone who knows better/remembers more can elaborate from there. —Dark Laith |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 3:26 PM See, Full Meat, this forum is watched from on high, even if at times it seems so laissez-faire that it appears completely unmonitored. I'm definitely glad for any moderation here. I've been ranting about it forever, but I've reduced my desires for this forum to just two: Sticky posts to reduce the number of n00b "Where can I get recordings?" type of questions. An off-topic section, and just enough moderation to enforce it. —Full Meat |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 4:22 PM Why don't we migrate to a forum that is moderated? That does have sticky threads? Multiple pages for long ass threads? Reply notifications? This is a great format, but changing times deserve changing er, something... —Colin |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 5:38 PM Maybe it's me, but this is the only forum I post in largely because of the simplistic design, minimal interference from moderators and the lack of multiple pages or thread groupings. While I don't doubt it is the case for some, it really has nothing to do with inertia or a need to be contrarian (though I do like the word ‘contrarian’). I posted a couple times in a screenwriting forum and I missed the very things that some complain about here. Plus, I like all the personalities who post here (there, I said it) and I just didn't get the feel on the other side. It was cold, so cold... —Beat It! |
