Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 8:04 AM Any nintendo fans Here? I'm am a big fan. Nintendo announced that it will release the new DS, called the "Nintendo DS Lite" in Japan on March 2. It will be released in the US on March 13th. The U.S. version will be packaged together with "Metroid Prime: Hunters". I guess they think so many people will want Metroid Prime: Hunters that they will buy another system in exchange for being the first to own it. Loveline promotes these alot so I assume they will have a contest. I wouldn't mind winning one. here is a picture.. http://www.engadget.com/2006/01/26/nintendo_announces_ds_lite/

Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 1:23 PM I've been called a nintendo fanboy. But really I'm just nostalgic for after school early 90's. sometimes. oh, and that jump pad exercise mat for the original nintendo was so hot! but it got stolen. Nintendo are like those other companies like Loewe and Nakamichi that seem to have the ethics of your local baker. But I've heard whispers on the sinternet that Nintendo have crime money backing them; nakamichi seem to be going mid-range; Loewe probably have a dodgy story somewhere. After all, if you REALLY have the ethics of a good business, and you're a multinational, you get destroyed by The Corrupt Ones in a matter of years if not months. And those companies have being going skitzcore for ages. Another example: TDK. They have developed a working prototype for a 4-layer Blu-Ray disc. Do you know how many old TDK cassette boxes floated around this place for so long? As all matter of storage container. And they're still going, not fallen by the way like Sonab did. Sweet. Nintendo is a horrible waste of time. Fun, but a horrible waste of time, almost as wasteful as this place, and the internet in general. —MajandraFan |

Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 1:56 PM I have both, and surprisingly, I play my DS about 5 times as much as the PSP. The psp has better graphics and a bigger screen, but that's about it. Not really any good games. Mario kart and animal crossing are both insanely fun, and you can play thru wi-fi for free, so there's always someone to play. The DS is ugly though, and the DS lite fixes that. How much of a nerd do i sound like. —Stryker311 |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 6:46 AM Psh no good games for PSP? Three letters: GTA. The most glorious game in the world, with a completely lossless port and all-new missions for the PSP. None of the DS games even compare. ..except Animal Crossing, but this game is just as freeform and addictive Without the little homodwarves. Also, the racing game Wipeout Pure is far better than Mario Kart. It doesn't have little koopa's peeking out the top of the racers, but the graphics (duh), sense of speed, and overall smoothness are superior (and I have played both) AND I can watch movies that I jack off the internet on it. AND I can carry around loveline episodes. AND is it just me, or does the DS Lite look like a xbox360-styled version of exactly the same thing? I personally had trouble seeing the difference on first glance.. I wish they tried a bit harder, and gave it a definitely different look, especially if they're not changing the hardware at all. —Chrispy |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 3:46 PM actually chrispy they are adding a brighter light to the screen and moving the microphone (does anyone even use the microphone?). I never bought the DS or the PSP but one of my friends showed me his PSP once and damn it was sexy. DOA girl sexy.... JuSTx3BCuZ says: One night 4 ITT students were boozing till late night and didn't study for the test which was scheduled for the next day. In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as dirty and weird as they could with grease and dirt.
They then went up to the proffesor and said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their return the tyre of their car burst and they had to JuSTx3BCuZ says: and they had to push the car all the way back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test.
Then proffesor was a just person so he said that you can have the retest after 3 days.
JuSTx3BCuZ says: They said they will be ready by that time. On the third day they appeared before the dean. The proffesor said that this was a special condition test.
All four were required to sit in separate classrooms for the test.
JuSTx3BCuZ says: They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last three days. The test consisted of 2 questions with total of 100 marks. JuSTx3BCuZ says: Q1. Write down your name. ----- (2 marks) Q2. Which tyre burst? ------- (98 marks)!!! —_xShArPy |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 3:58 PM AND I can watch movies that I jack off the internet on it. —Chrispy I heard they were selling those in Japan. Do you masturbate on the subway? I don't understand talk of the PSP or anything else being "sexy". The word "sexy" is a wrong double quote misnomer when used on an electrical appliance. I've never seen a sexy sony product if we're using that word. The playstation designs, portable or otherwise, are generico cliche and too bulky therebesides. Now Loewe have some nice designers working for them, but it's still not sexy. The Nintendo DS looks sleeker and lighter and smoother than the PSP and it certainly has a better contrast, brighter nicer screen even if you can't watch Spiderman 2(!) on it. It's strange that Nintendo's superior products see them so well in the portable console market but leave them languishing for home consoles. It doesn't make any sense at all, especially when all the neckless owls playing xbox and playstation 2 have a gameboy most of the time. It's the same company. Is there no memory retention, no curiosity? Also, Animal Crossing is such an incredibly boring game. That's consistent with popularity = mediocrity but still, what is it about games and music and books and movies and everything else where the weakest rises to the surface? I don't understand it. Fading away like the time it never was. Not even slightly my space but I can hear it anyway. I hear it. The leaves veil the sky, the clouds veil the sun, the grass carpets the cold soft ground where the concrete hasn't spread like weeds to, yet. And i hear it, and it all folds collapses explodes jumbles it's over it's begun all around me; inside me. Kept moving. —MajandraFan |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 6:00 PM I think corporate loyalty/fanboys died around the sega dreamcast era, when sega fanatics turned their backs on the dreamcast to join the sony ranks. People who have gameboys don't bother to buy gamecubes because they aren't nintendo fans, they just are antisocial pricks who rather listen to music on their ipod and play "put the pin in teh butt 64" on their gameboy pocket . I only owned a gameboy color for pokemon games, the real pokemon games. not the gay card/pinball/pikachu cock sucking spinoffs. of course talking about games on a non-game forum is considered nerdy, which is then considered fa —_xShArPy |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 7:04 PM Additionally, the sega fans weren't really the most loyal people in the first place. Neither the intelligence or the love for loyalty, even to a corporation. Cuz sega were the forerunners of sony and microsoft, in that their hardward and softward designs were cheap, yet expensive, knock-offs of whatever nintendo was doing at the time. I'm thinking that the Xbox 360 could join the ranks of its spiritual brethren, NeoGeo Philips 3do sega dreamcast They're not all indentical. The neogeo was better but too expensive i don't know why the philips 3do failed. too expensive? haven't looked into it i don't really know why the dreamcast failed excpet that it was expensive, had no good games and the controls were chunky clunky. then again, that's the same as the playstation 2 and it went nuts also, people can have gameboys and discmans and whatever for the same reasons, being young poor mobile etc —MajandraFan |

Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 10:35 PM The problem with the PSP is that it is made by Sony. So that means DRM up the ass and expensive and proprietary storage mediums. You have to use memory stick, you have to use UMD (which, given size...is probably okay, but why not mini-dvds? People created a whole bunch of great hacks for it, wifi web surfing, movies ripped from DVD...and what does Sony do? They create 'updates' that break all of the cool hacks. Sony is a DRM company above all, they figure just because they whack those 4 silver letters on the front that no one will look at the product, and be willing to pay more. Apple is almost the same, except they have better products. As much as I do not like MS, they were really smart with the X-Box. They looked at existing console games, and existing PC games. They took the best of PC gaming (titles and on-line play) and dropped it into the console market. People hacked the product...MS looked at what they did, and rolled most of it into the X-Box 360 (where legal)...and they got it to market a full year before the PS3. The PSP should have been a segment destroyer...too bad it was made by Sony. The only thing they did right this time, learning from past mistakes, they allowed porn on UMD. —Laxdude |

Friday, February 3, 2006 at 8:18 AM Edited Friday, February 3, 2006 at 8:19 AM actually MJF right now i'm watching a show on G4TV about the dreamcast and why it failed. Seemed like people stopped buying it (dreamcast) because Sony promised that the ps2 would come out a year later and effectively wipe the floor with the dreamcast and it would be like 5x more powerful. Thus people stopped buying it and waited for the ps2 to come out. Oh well marketing>actual products. Dark Laith, I should've rephrased my previous statement. Fanboys still exist, I definetly know that since I used to go to a xbox forum from 2003-2004. But now "exclusive" overhyped games are on all 3 consoles, I don't believe most people can only stick to 1 console anymore unless you are very devout to a certain company. ummm yea. —_xShArPy |
