The "eubangus" email address is a fake address, all actual receipents are BCC'd to ensure your anonymity (and thus your ability to say horrible things) on the Forum.

The grandfather of modern programming languages, but a grandfather that still nails young chicks and can still whip your ass. Probably the most popular language in the world because almost every computer "understands" C. C is a fairly no-frills language, and is "close to machine", allowing you relatively granular control of memory and processor usage for maximum efficiency. This is makes it the language of choice for programming mobile devices, OS kernels, device drivers, 3D rendering engines and such. It is lousy for application stuff in that it takes a ridiculous amount of code to display a message box. C++
C++ was created at Bell Labs as an extension to C. C++ is still C, so if you didn't use any C++ extensions, a program that you wrote could compile in either a C or C++ compiler. C#
C# is C to the extent that the 2005 Ford Mustang and the 1969 Mustang are both Mustangs: Completely different animals with a superficial resemblance. C# is Microsoft's answer to the Java language. (Java is unrelated to Javascript). Compared to C and C++, it is much farther from the hardware but allows you to display a messagebox by writing Messagbox.Show("Hello World").

Edited Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 5:26 PM I also discovered a small bug in the forum in case Silent Virgin or Mastermind care. The post counts for each thread displayed in the main thread list are incorrect - I think the post count is not being correctly decremented when someone deletes a post, so the reported post count is larger than the actual number of posts. —Full Meat |
