Monday, September 5, 2005 at 4:56 AM During Jason Batemen and Will Arnett's first show Adam and Jason were talking about Paul Anka, who is Batemen's father-in-law. Adam made a reference to Anka and Branson, Missouri. Anyone know the story? —Marc |

Monday, September 5, 2005 at 5:12 AM Paul Anka was a famous singer in the 70s with his big hits, "I Don't Like to Sleep Alone" and "Havin' My Baby." He now performs in Branson, MO, where many stars of his ilk have regular shows. —pookie |

Monday, September 5, 2005 at 1:15 PM Paul Anka has actually been around since the 60's when he was a teen Idol. He's an Arab American and he also wrote the theme to Carson's Tonight Show. His most recent album has swing versions of rock tunes like Van Halen's Jump and Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun. It's actually a pretty clever CD in the way he makes these things work. I suspect Adam was talking about a tape played on Howard Stern recently where Anka rips into his band for making mistakes and their appearance on stage where he uses non-Branson type language. Someone has posted the audio here. —bguirk |
