Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 4:02 PM Adam's always nitpicking about stupid sayings he hates, but he's guilty of it too, big time. He does something constantly on every single show that bothers the hell out of me and someone needs to call up and complain about it before he leaves. At least 10 times a show he'll say something like, "The thing is is, most people have poor grammar." What's with the extra "is?" It should be "The thing is, most people have poor grammar" or "The thing is that most people have poor grammar." He does it constantly and I wanna smack him upside his monobrowed Brillo head every damn time! —llcj |

Friday, September 2, 2005 at 11:02 AM I think he meant it as a contraction of "hysterically funny." People do that all the time. —Dubious Merit |

Friday, September 2, 2005 at 2:18 PM Excellent observation! It makes what he's saying have so little merit, I may no longer be able to laugh at anything he has to say. This definitely needs to be brought to Adam's attention before he leaves. If we don't do this, I fear that the one last ounce of comedy may go undrained. Let's get going now!!! —Hobo84 |

Friday, September 2, 2005 at 2:45 PM Are you guys noticing how hostile we're becoming at Adam? I think it's very psychological, in that we are so f'n mad at him that he's leaving, so it's okay to insult him. I think this is happening to all of us subconciously. And Adam does have bad grammer and horrible sayings. Good Times! —Faygo |

Friday, September 2, 2005 at 3:29 PM Me too. I love Adam, but I've been mad at him for being so nouveau riche. He seems to have less compassion, too. And he seems angrier than he was when I started listening years ago. I'll miss him. :-( —nappyhairbigteeth |

Friday, September 2, 2005 at 4:37 PM I guess I am an old school Adam fan then... because I was being sarcastic as hell with my earlier comment. He's a fucking comedian. None of the things he says are meant to be scrutinized to the extent that they are being here. It's comedy people! It's all about delivery and timing (which Adam does very well)... content is much lower on the list. —Hobo84 |

Friday, September 2, 2005 at 5:08 PM And that "is is" thing is contagious. I've heard guests do it on the show too, probably subconsciously picking it up from Adam. Maybe it's a common expression. It makes no sense to me though and drives me up the wall. —llcj |
