Monday, August 8, 2005 at 7:41 PM The director blows. If you enjoy seeing the same medium shot of Adam for minutes on end as he rants, you'll be fine. But generally you vary shots in some way. I'm sure that Adam intends for the show to be off the cuff, but it feels a little disjointed. Adam just seems to ramble and change topics aburptly. It kills the flow of the show. But I give him credit, he did make mention of pandas performing oral on each other. —clodhopper |

Monday, August 8, 2005 at 8:08 PM I think he put on an entertaining show. Even his older bits had new elements to them. It stands to reason that he will go with something familiar at first until he gets into a groove. I really liked the segment with pictures of things that piss him off. Even though he has talked about them on the radio, having a visual element gives it new life. I think he will only improve as time goes on and his material will seem new to us in the future because we will not have heard it first on the radio. —pookie |

Not to mention the spontaneous calls on waxers with crazy nationalities, left-turn arrows, etc. I agree. Everything just seemed too scripted. I didn't like the Crystal Method segment. If he is going to have guests, he should probably get somewhat interesting ones. The only thing that I really liked was the slide show. That was at least original. Everything else was old and he had already discussed it on Loveline several times, except this time we had to look at him, which really is not an advantage. I mean, he should at least come up with a new ending. Oh, but I have to say that I love his little sayings. My favorite from this episode is "that really steams my bean". I love that. Even though it wasn't the best, I'll still watch it for support. I don't always like Drew's show, but I still watch that as well. —mandeemoo22 |

Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 1:59 PM The show was way too short. On the radio Adam can go on for 15 minutes at a time, on the TV, it's 6 minutes 30 seconds, and then "we gotta pay some bills" for 5 minutes. If comedy central actually wanted the show to be worth a fuck, they'd make it an hour long so it could adhere to something of a Letterman / Leno format. On that note, how do they expect the show to survive when they're saturating the market with the same type of show? You've got that "weekends at the gfunk DL QT yoyoyo", "Too Late", and probably 6 others following the same format. That just insures that none of the shows will make it. Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 6:26 PM Edited Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 6:29 PM yeah i knew that. it seems like a long ass time though. i think conan is funnier and he sure as hell is a lot funnier with his guests than Leno. but Leno has a funnier (and longer) opening, where he discusses the news topics. plus his headlines are possibly the funniest thing on tv, not to mention 99 cent store shopping and a lot others. i like them both, but its too late to stay up every night. also i was wondering why on Leno last night, (which is on at 1135) why when they went to jon melendez at the beach, it was broad daylight? when do they tape it anyway? i always thought it was at night, judging by the backdrop of city lights. also the fact that its called the tonight show, or whatever. and one more thing, why are so many Conan shows repeats? its just random practically. yesterday was new, but tuesday was old. its like random. and Last Call with Carson Daly is almost always old. i think the point is fuck time zones, and ambiguoty. fucking time zones involves fucking with the rotation of the sun and earth. fuck the universe —Stryker311 |
