Rob Schneider did pretty good

There were some problems of course - he should shut up with some of the pseudo medical advice, but other than that I thought he was really funny, had some good lines ("bottoming out!"), and good chemistry with Drew. It was a good show to listen to, and I don't think he'd be a bad replacement.

Flame away!

I'm sure Drew broke out in hives when Rob suggested holistic treatments.

yeah, he did a good job of controlling himself on those.

and the "quit the pill, it's killing your body chemistry, just use condoms!" That, too, was a bit of a "oh god" moment.

It was so obvious that they are thinking about rob as a replacement for adam.

Too bad hes not funny.

And too bad that he gives some really bad advice.

Drew really seemed to enjoy having the upper hand and being in command for a change. He repeatedly told Rob that he filled Adam's shoes quite nicely. I beg to differ.

He was alright for filling in one time, but as a replacement he would be horrible

Well, whatever it was, it wasn't "Lovelne." I had to turn it off...

He definitely had his bad points, but as long as Drew got Rob to quit the bad, misinformed medical advice, I could stand him as a replacement. He had some good points too.

Mr. Schneider did very well. To anyone that will continue to think 'loveline' will be the same once Adam is gone...it's down the street, not across the road.

The show is inevitably going to be different and the be few of us who listen do to the philosophical and intellectual aspects of the show, not just the fart jokes, will adjust. I think Rob could form into a good replacement, if it does ever come to fruition.

I'm kinda with Ovid. Rob would be an alright replacement down the line. I didn't think he did poorly but it wasn't an amazing effort. His holistic medicine kick annoys me. But otherwise, he's alright. He just lacks the chemistry that Adam and Drew have. Whomever Westwood None picks to replace Adam MUST have good chemistry with Dr. Drew or else the show will definately spiral downward.

He needs to lay off the "voices" (which were annoying) and "impressions" (which just sucked), other than that he was serviceable. I see them rotating guest hosts out every week or so to test things out (and perhaps stall in case Mr. Carolla's venture falls flat *fingers crossed*).

This guy does not shut the hell up! That gay black caller couldn't get a single syllable in edge-wise. I genuinely prefer Stryker over Rob Schneider if only for the fact that Stryker is a capable listener. Jimmy would still be the best replacement for Adam because he has a similar rapport and understanding with Drew.

Dick Sargeant should replace Adam.

the "why don't you guys go back to crapping on each other" line made me laugh pretty hard.

Yeah, he wasn't the best listener at times, but I think he could be.

Chemistry takes a while to build. He and Drew got on well (which I don't think is always the case when it's Drew and Stryker)...they'd be a good match.

That being said, I'd like to see Sarah Silverman be given a shot at it.

I thought Rob *TRIED* too much to be funny. With Adam it comes natural.

BTW, did I hear Drew correctly that Adam is going to be gone all next week?!

When Stryker is on the show, I immediately turn off the radio and dig into my Loveline archives. I can't even listen to him.

DAG would be great. Like Adam, he's the best when he's improvising.

I agree that Jimmy would be the best replacement. I've seen him mentioned a few times on this board.... is he going to get booted from the ABC show... otherwise how could he do Loveline? Don't the two shows overlap a bit?

Hmmmm. As entertained as I am by Jimmy and Adam together, for some reason I never watch JKL. I think I've watched it a total of 3 times. On the other hand, I'll watch that show about crab-fisherman for hours.

I think DAG or Jimmy would be the best choices for a new host because they "gel" really well with Drew, and I don't think I would listen if they brought in some random co-host and it felt like the conversation between the two of them was really awkward. If they decided to go with a female, it should be Kathy Griffin.

Jimmy's show is Fucking Horrific. Although Jimmy is outstanding on radio. He should take over for Adam until Adam's T.V. efforts fail.
