Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 10:50 AM It's really easy to get on Too Late. I filled out that question form on Comedycentral.com with some random stupid question, and 40 minutes later I got call asking if I wanted to be on the air. However, they wanted me to ask a question about Carson Daly's religious background, something I know nothing about. Anyway me and one of the interns or phone screners and I made up a question just because they needed people with Carson questions. It's just like holding for Loveline, you can hear the show and the crew doing the show, with long 5-6 commercial break. I was also used as the phone system guinea pig a couple hours before filming, so I got the jist of the show, like them showing GTA clips, when they'd introduce the guest and take calls, etc. I also faintly heard Adam bitching at some sound guy. This was last night, which was their first filming. They couldn't get through to line 6, Frasier was his name, and they really wanted him on air. Adam checked my line, I said hey, he told me to hold on. Then they replayed the return from commercial song and reintroduced Carson, after the phones were messing up and they took Frasier as their second, and last call for the night. It was kinda neat hearing how they did stuff, like the lighting and camera people and whatnot. In the end I didn't get on the air because Carson and Adam end up talking about the same stuff I was going to, religion and stuff, but oh well. The phone screner Ivy said she'd call me later this week or next week, but most likely it'll be again tonight. Ivy sounded hot. This show should air next Monday. Oh yeah, the show is actually funny! I laughed out loud like 7-8 times, and it's pretty clear Adam hates Comedy Central and knows the show doesn't stand a chance, he gave it 13 weeks. I wonder if they'll edit out Adam calling them pussies. —scangrade |
