Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 6:39 AM Edited Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 7:02 AM During the Daily Show last night, they ran a new spot for Adam's show. Unlike the "produced" spot they'd been running ("We gave Adam a desk and a live audience"), this one was just Adam standing there speaking: "I've seen maybe 15,000 squirrels in my life. I've never seen one taking a crap. On the other hand, I've never seen a horse not taking a crap." He goes on a little bit more about it. Point is, it was the same stiff, cringe-inducing, non-funny delivery that we all saw when he was hosting Kilborn. I won't rehash the whole "Adam's comedy doesn't translate well to TV" point, but I've gone from jovially looking foward to "Too Late" to praying that it doesn't totally blow. —Full Meat |

I seem to do a lot of that whenever I see Ace on TV. Kind of sad really. —evilmax17 |

Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 7:57 AM Edited Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 7:58 AM Yeah when he was on kimmel trying to promote "Adam Carolla" to the kiddies for the summer, the audience really didn't understand or play along, so then he jumps over the chair and lands on his gut and you dont see him again.
Cringe! —Darkfloyd |

As been stated ad infinitum, Conan was incredibly horrible his first few years even, and yet now is arguably the best late night host. Some people need to become accustomated to television. Adam has little to no experience so judged his run based on the first few shows is probably terarded. —Ovid |

Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 10:37 AM It's a fair point about Conan, but "Adam has little to no experience" on TV? He's had tons of TV camera time, notably Loveline and The Man Show. So I say the opposite: He's had enough time in front of the camera to not suck. Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for the Aceman... I'm just scared for him. —Full Meat |

Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 10:50 AM ^^^ Nice socks. I'm sure there will be segments where Adam is great on the new show--with the callers for example. The prepared stuff that is supposed to seem spontaneous is where he'll blow. Of course his attitude towards the new show isn't super positive so that could have something to do with it. —bguirk |

Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 12:14 PM I like the spot where Adam is doing the focus group with about a half dozen copies of himself. It was pretty funny to see Adam just stroking his own ego. —clodhopper |

Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 12:26 PM I was listening to a recently recorded Loveline yesterday where he was talking about the new radio show. He basically hopes that the new Comedy Central show will fail so he won't have to do it anyway. I think the priority is now the radio show. The TLC tv show will be much better anyway... like the Man Show bits where he'd go to hardware stores and improvise. He's much funnier with improv. I hope his new radio show is funny. He's in the safe zone on Loveline because it airs after 10:00pm. He's going to have to tone down for morning drive... or he won't and he'll get booted off the air. —swmcduff |

I like this one too. My favorite it part is when one of Adams gives the main Adam the thumbs up. I don't why, but I really like that. —mandeemoo22 |

Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 1:30 PM My favorite it part is when one of Adams gives the main Adam the thumbs up This made me think of the Loveline bit where Adam's walking into the bar (with rock music in the background) with his jacket over his shoulder and looking over his shades and the bartender gives him the thumbs up. Then I was thinking that it would be funny if it were translated to a Narren cartoon. —Full Meat |

Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 1:47 PM "Tatoos on the lower back, might as well be bullseyes" Thanks 000 —Darkfloyd I have been wondering if girls would get as many of these above the ass tats if they knew that guys called them "target tattoos." Then I wonder if the women that do know that guys call them that know what is meant to be shot at said target. —bguirk |
