Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at 4:35 AM Matt Lauer was doing a piece on addiction, specifically to crystal meth. I think Drew was patched in via satellite as he was not live in the studio with Matt. The caption under Drew said "Addictionologist." I didn't hear what he said as the volume was off and Drew was done with his very brief statement before I could turn it up. Drew always seems quite at ease on camera. Does anyone know what he said? —pookie |

Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 9:07 PM Yeah the book Drew always says he "wrote." Only one time did he actually admit that he only wrote one chapter. That really takes some chutzpah., to go bragging all the time about how you wrote this book when in reality you wrote ten percent or less of the book. —TonyInPortland |

Monday, August 8, 2005 at 6:35 AM Edited Monday, August 8, 2005 at 6:39 AM When I was little, they used to play a song on the radio called "I Write the Songs" by Barry Manilow. It was really melodramatic and schmaltzy, and he sang: I write the songs that make the whole world sing I write the songs of love and special things I write the songs that make the young girls cry I write the songs, I write the songs I am music, and I write the songs It was one of his biggest hits.
Later on in life, I was extremely perplexed when I learned that he did not write that song! Ha-haaaaa. —GainRider |

Monday, August 8, 2005 at 1:42 PM When I was at USF in tampa, fl I worked at the Sun Dome(we called it the con-dome, silly college kids) and loaded it and out all the concerts. Barry Manilow was probably the only one that wasn't too loud. BUT, his crew called him Barely Manenough, and when the crew is calling you gay, well...You be the judge. —oh-for |
